Owatrol E-B Bonding Primer

Owatrol E-B is a highly penetrating paint additive designed to enhance water-based masonry or interior paints. Specially formulated to address peeling issues on porous surfaces, Owatrol E-B is particularly effective on unstable, chalky, and powdery surfaces, as well as crumbling brickwork or render.

As a stabiliser, E-B penetrates the surface to create a strong bond between the first coat of paint and the substrate. The formulation eliminates the need for a separate primer, speeding up the painting process and saving time.

Owatrol E-B serves as a bonding primer, seamlessly integrating into paint without altering its original colour. The easy stir-in application offers added convenience, providing a hassle-free solution for achieving optimal paint adhesion and durability on challenging surfaces.

Ensure the surface is clean and free from grease, residue, loose debris, or flaking paint. If the surface is dirty, wash with water and detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry before painting. Any mildew should also be removed.

NOTE: Use only in the first coat of paint

• Shake the container well.
• Always mix a small amount of Owatrol E-B with paint to test compatibility.
• Mix 1 part Owatrol E-B to 4 parts paint.
• Stir the paint and the Owatrol E-B mixture thoroughly. If paint thickens add enough water to return paint to its original consistency.
• Apply paint as usual.
• Apply any additional coats without Owatrol E-B. Apply additional coats when the Owatrol E-B / paint mixture is dry.
• Do not apply more paint while the Owatrol E-B / paint mix film feels soft or tacky.

A: When E-B undiluted is used, it covers approximately 6 square meters per litre. However, actual coverage can vary depending on factors such as application method, type, texture, age, and porosity of the surface. When mixed with paint, generally 20% less material is used compared to applying the paint without E-B.

• AM Delivery: Get your order by 12pm
  If placed on a working day before 3pm, the AM Delivery will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday AM (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day for delivery on the following AM. All orders have a charge of £12.99 for AM delivery.

• Late Cut-Off: Get an extra hour to place your order for Next Working Day delivery.
  Orders placed on a working day before 4pm will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 4pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. All orders have a charge of £5.99 for Late Cut-Off delivery.

• Saturday Delivery: Get your order on Saturday
  Option available on Fridays. Orders placed on Friday before 3pm will be delivered on Saturday. All orders have a charge of £9.95 for Saturday delivery.

We do not deliver to the Channel Islands or the Republic of Ireland

Returns

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

We always recommend getting samples or contacting us for free of charge colourcharts. We do our best to represent colours as accurately as possible however screens variations and different surfaces can alter this. Unfortunately in the event you do not like the colour we are unable to accept the product back if they it has been opened.

Faulty Items

If you find a fault with your product, we can offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days. We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you. Please get in touch to discuss these options. If you find fault after 30 days of purchase you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly as they will be able to offer support with the product.
