During this practical training course, you will learn how to carry out common wood rot repairs efficiently and professionally. You will receive education on how wood damage occurs, how to prevent it, and you will carry out repairs yourself using Repair Care products.

Level 1: Trained Contractor Course

The Repair Care Level 1 Training Day is an introductory course that combines practical, hands-on learning with essential theory to provide a solid foundation in timber repair.

Designed for contractors looking to develop professional wood repair skills, the course focuses on understanding, identifying and repairing timber decay using the Repair Care system.

Participants will learn about the causes of wood rot, how to assess existing damage, and the methods used to prevent future deterioration. Following an introduction to the Repair Care product range and repair systems, delegates will gain extensive practical experience using the tools and materials required to carry out durable, high-quality repairs.

A key focus of the course is the 7 Steps to Durable Repairs, which provide the framework for achieving sustainable and professional repair results. Practical sessions allow participants to carry out common timber repairs and develop confidence in the use of Repair Care products and techniques.

Level 2: Advanced Contractor Course

only available for Level 1 Trained Contractors

The Repair Care Level 2 Training Day is an advanced, hands-on course designed exclusively for contractors who have successfully completed Level 1 training. Combining practical workshops with essential theory, the programme focuses on developing the skills and confidence required to undertake more complex timber repairs.

The course begins with a refresher of Repair Care working methods and the 7 Steps to Durable Repairs, followed by a deeper exploration of timber characteristics and wood knowledge. Participants then spend the majority of the day in practical sessions using realistic repair simulators and real-life repair scenarios.

How much does it cost?

The level 1 qualification costs £149 (excl VAT)

The level 2 qualification costs £249 (excl VAT)

Do I need to bring anything?

All tools and products will be provided for the practical lessons, teas, coffees & lunch will also be provided on the day.
