Zinsser AllCoat (Water Based) Exterior Satin Paint

Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin is a water-based finish ideal for use on exterior surfaces including wood, metal, masonry, plastic, concrete and cladding. It’s formulated to be mould resistant and offers superior protection against weathering and will resist cracking, flaking and blistering. Thanks to its self-priming formula, the first coat primes and seals the surface, providing a base for the topcoat. The topcoat completes the sealing process while providing additional moisture resistance and protection.

Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry, sound, and free from any dust or possible contaminates that may interfere with adhesion.

• Remove all existing mould and mildew before application with a fungicidal wash
• Timber at risk from decay or insect attack should be treated with a clear wood preserver
• Glossy or very hard surfaces should be abraded and degreased to enable adhesion
• Fill any holes or gouges with a suitable filler
• Spot prime knots and sap streaks with Zinsser B-I-N Primer-Sealer
• Always allow new plaster/cement & stucco to cure for 60-90 days before coating
• Thoroughly degrease new galvanised steel
• For new or unpainted cedar, redwood, or other resinous timbers prime with Zinsser Cover Stain

Note: Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960 paint surface as they may contain harmful lead.

Before applying stir the product thoroughly and test a small area

• Stir paint thoroughly
• Only apply in temperatures between 10-32°C, do not apply if there is a likelihood of rain, frost, fog or condensation
• Avoid painting in direct sunlight and maintain a “wet edge” to avoid lapping
• Apply paint in the direction of the wood grain using a brush, roller or airless sprayer
• Allow to dry for 1 hour before applying a second coat
• If being applied to areas of high exposure such as sills and fascia boards we would recommend 3 coats
• Paint will be fully cured in 7 days

Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.

Q. Does Zinsser AllCoat contain biocide?

A. Yes, this paint contains biocide to help protect the coating against fungal degradation.

Q. Can Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Satin be used internally?

A. As it is water based it can be used indoors as it has low VOC levels, however Zinsser have created an interior version.

Q. What is the maintenance period of Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin?

A. The manufacturer has advised that this has an excellent colour retention & long lasting finish up to 15 years. This is subject to the surface being of sounding structure, and that the surface was cleaned, dried and free from any contaminants that could affect during the product longevity.

Q. Does Zinsser AllCoat Need a Primer?

A. No, this product formulated to have an easy application self priming system, the first coat primes and seals the surface providing a base for the top coat. The 2nd coat completes the sealing process whilst providing a layer of moisture protection.

Q. Can Zinsser AllCoat be sprayed and does it need to be thinned?

A. Yes this is ideal for an airless spray. You don't need to thin this as it is also a primer you will then thin the adhesion of the paint which will affect the products longevity and performance.

Q. Can Zinsser AllCoat paint seal knots and sap from woods?

A. No, this is not formulated to seal knots or resinous deposits, we would advise using the Zinsser B-I-N as a spot primer.

  If placed on a working day before 3pm, the AM Delivery will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday AM (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day for delivery on the following AM. All orders have a charge of £12.99 for AM delivery.

• Late Cut-Off: Get an extra hour to place your order for Next Working Day delivery.
  Orders placed on a working day before 4pm will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 4pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. All orders have a charge of £5.99 for Late Cut-Off delivery.

• Saturday Delivery: Get your order on Saturday
  Option available on Fridays. Orders placed on Friday before 3pm will be delivered on Saturday. All orders have a charge of £9.95 for Saturday delivery.

We do not deliver to the Channel Islands or the Republic of Ireland

Returns

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

We always recommend getting samples or contacting us for free of charge colourcharts. We do our best to represent colours as accurately as possible however screens variations and different surfaces can alter this. Unfortunately in the event you do not like the colour we are unable to accept the product back if they it has been opened.

Faulty Items

If you find a fault with your product, we can offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days. We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you. Please get in touch to discuss these options. If you find fault after 30 days of purchase you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly as they will be able to offer support with the product.
