Zinsser AllCoat is a water-based, gloss finish that is ideal for use on all exterior surfaces including wood, metal, masonry, plastic, concrete, and cladding. It offers supreme protection and adhesion to all exterior surfaces, the paint forms a vapour-permeable, low maintenance, mould resistant coating. It's extremely fast to apply as it's recoatable in as little as an hour and can be used in an airless sprayer which makes it ideal for larger areas such as warehouses. Zinsser AllCoat Gloss is also resistant to cracking, blistering and flaking and will act as a primer and sealer, meaning, for most jobs, there is no need to purchase a separate primer.

Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry, sound, and free from any dust or possible contaminates that may interfere with adhesion.

Remove any loose or peeling paint and sand edges of any remaining paint until smooth
• Remove any mould or mildew with a suitable fungicidal wash
• Timber at risk of decay or insect rot should be treated with a wood preserver

New Concrete & Masonry

• Must be allowed to cure for at least 30 days before painting

New or Bare Wood

• Spot prime any knots or sap streaks with Zinsser B-I-N Primer Sealer
• Fill any nail holes or gouges

Note: Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960 paint surface as they may contain harmful lead.

Before applying we always recommend to test a small area of the surface to be treated to ensure you are happy with the finished results.

• Shake or stir well before application
• Apply using a synthetic bristle brush, roller or sprayer (for airless spraying, use a .017” tip and high-medium 2000-2500 PSI pressure)
• Ensure temperature is between 10° - 32°C
• Avoid working in direct sunlight
• Apply the first coat and allow to dry for 1 hour
• Apply a second coat, paint will fully cure in 7 days
• Normal application is 2 coats, however an additional coat should be applied to areas of high exposure such as sills and fascia boards.

Note: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.

Q. What is the maintenance period of Zinsser AllCoat paint?

A. The manufacturer has advised that this has an excellent colour retention & long lasting finish up to 15 years. This is subject to the surface being of sounding structure, and that the surface was cleaned, dried and free from any contaminants that could affect during the product longevity.

Q. Do I need to prime the surface before using Zinsser AllCoat?

A. No, this product formulated to have an easy application self priming system. As the first coat primes and seals the surface providing a base for the top coat. The 2nd coat completes the sealing process whilst providing moisture and protection layer.

Q. Can Zinsser AllCoat be sprayed? Does it need to be thinned?

A. Yes this exterior paint is ideal for an airless spray. You don't need to thin as it is also a primer you will then thin the adhesion of the paint which will affect the products longevity and performance.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
