Overview

Ronseal Decking Protector is a water based, wax enriched, matt translucent finish that offers tough weather resistance. It’s formulated to prevent splitting and swelling and protect your decking against greying.

Preparation

Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss.


• To clean wood give it a good brush with a stiff brush to remove any dirt, debris or loose wood

• Clean the decking with Ronseal Decking Cleaner & Reviver and allow it to dry thoroughly


Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.


Application

Test the Decking Protector on a small area to ensure you are happy with the end results


• We recommend to choose a warm dry day, above 10°C and when there is no chance of rain

• Shake well and pour in a suitable container

• Apply plenty of protector onto your brush and apply evenly over 2-3 boards working in the direction of the grain

• After 15 minutes any excess fluid can be spread out to dryer areas

• For maximum protection apply 2 coats

• Re coat as soon as the first coat is dry (2 hours)

• Don’t leave long before recoating as the second coat maybe repelled by the first coat

• Leave decking 24hours before using

Aftercare & Storage

To maintain your decking regularly clean with a wire or stiff brush to remove dirt or dust. If you notice a build up of mould, algae or grime use a decking cleaner such as Cuprinol Decking Cleaner to keep your decking looking good.

Delivery

All orders placed on a working day before 3pm will be dispatched on the same day for next working day delivery. Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day.

If you find a fault with your product, we can offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days. We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you. Please contact us to discuss these options. If you find fault after 30 days of purchase you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly as they will be able to offer support with the product.
