Osmo Polyx Hard Wax Oil Rapid - Tinted Colour Match

Osmo Polyx Hard Wax Oil Rapid is available in either matt or satin finishes and ideal for use on interior wooden floors and furniture. The use of natural oils and waxes enhances the wood's natural character whilst protecting your interior wood without cracking, peeling, or flaking. It's been formulated to be fast drying and be dry in as little as 4-5 hours. Along with easy application and no need for primer this really is the go-to product for wooden floors and furniture.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Osmo tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Always ensure the surface is clean and free from dust, debris and frost.

• Clean old microporous stains (wood oils).
• Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed this can be done by sanding back or using a suitable chemical stripper.
• Fill any cracks with an appropriate wood filler, for larger joints and holes use Osmo Wood Filler.
• Sand the surface carefully, starting with a coarse sandpaper and finish fine grade, for flooring 120-150, for furniture 180-240.
• Before application ensure all dust has been removed.

Always test a small area of the surface to be treated before application to ensure you are happy with the finished look.

• Stir well before use.
• Osmo Polyx Oil is ready to use and does not require thinning.
• Use a Osmo Soft Tip Flat Brush, floor brush or microfibre roller.
• Apply thinly working in the direction of the wood grain and spread well.
• Allow to dry for 4-5 hours under good ventilation.
• After drying quickly apply a second coat.
• If re-coating one coat should be sufficient.
• Avoid covering during drying and curing, after 2-3 weeks the surface will be fully cured.

Note: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.

Cleaning

Clean the surface regularly with a duster or vacuum, for spillages and a more intensive clean use Osmo Wash and Care with a damp mop. Avoid over saturating the surface with water. For furniture use the Osmo Spray Cleaner.

Maintenance

For cleaning stains and stubborn scuff marks on the satin finish use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner.

When signs of wear become visible on the surface re-apply one coat of Osmo Polyx Oil to a cleaned and dried surface.

Q. Can I apply Osmo Polyx Oil Rapid over varnish?

A. Osmo Polyx Oil works by penetrating into the wood but can't with a varnish covering the wood. All varnish, paint or lacquers will need to be fully removed by sanding before an oil can be applied.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
