Osmo 2K Wood Oil is a professional, solvent-free 2-component oil for high-traffic wooden flooring and parquet.
Made from natural oils, it provides an extremely durable, hardwearing matt finish with just one coat. The microporous, breathable surface is highly resistant to water, dirt and common liquid spillages such as wine, coffee, tea and cola.
Suitable for all wood species, it is especially suited for oily and resinous hardwoods and commercial interiors, is GREENGUARD Gold Certified and requires no sanding for future applications.

Ensure the wood is clean, dry, sanded and frost-free, with a maximum moisture content of 20%.
- Thoroughly clean any old microporous finishes and completely remove old paints, varnishes and lacquers. Wear a dust mask when sanding.
- Fill small cracks, larger joints and holes with Osmo Wood Filler or Osmo Wood Putty 7350, then sand the surface thoroughly. Start with coarse sandpaper, finishing with P120–150 for flooring or P220–240 for furniture.
- Remove all sanding dust with a broom or vacuum cleaner before oiling.
- As the final appearance can vary depending on the condition and type of wood, always carry out a trial application first, particularly on unfamiliar surfaces.
Note: Osmo 2K Wood Oil is a 2-component product and is not supplied ready to use. Shortly before application, add the hardener at a 100:12 volume ratio and mix both components thoroughly. Do not thin. The pot life is approximately 3–4 hours.
- Apply 2K Wood Oil thinly using the Osmo Double Blade Scraper or, for a more comfortable standing application, the Osmo Professional Scraper. On chamfered flooring, apply the oil thinly in sections using an Osmo Microfibre Roller, taking care not to fill the joints.
- Allow approximately 20–40 minutes for the oil to penetrate the wood, then buff it into the surface and even out the finish using a single-disc machine with a white or beige pad. For furniture, Osmo HandXcenter with a white pad is recommended.
- Allow the surface to dry thoroughly. If the single-disc machine leaves streaks due to excess product, turn the pad over or replace it.
- To prevent pressure build-up in the container, allow the oil and hardener mixture to react fully before closing the container (approximately 12–16 hours).
Note: 2K Wood Oil must only be used with its specially developed hardener. Any leftover mixed product must be disposed of once the pot life has expired and cannot be stored or reused.
Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.
Can be stored for 2 years or longer in the original, tightly closed container. If the product has thickened due to frost, allow it to return to room temperature for 24 hours before use.
Once mixed, any leftover product cannot be stored or reused.
Wood surfaces treated with 2K Wood Oil are easy to maintain. Simply remove loose or coarse dirt regularly using a broom or vacuum cleaner.
- Regular Cleaning: Dust mopping using the green Dust-Mop from the Osmo Mop Cleaning Kit for Floors. Damp mopping using Osmo Wash and Care or Osmo Spray-Mop.
- Occasional Maintenance: Intensive cleaning and refreshing using Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.
- Recoating: Simply re-apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.
