Hammerite Radiator Enamel Metal Paint is a heat resistant finish, formulated for use on water filled radiators and hot water pipes. It’s easy to use and resistant to yellowing for a long lasting tough and durable finish. Hammerite radiator paints are available in either a high gloss or satin finish as well as a paint or aerosol spray option.

Clean Up | Remove as much paint as possible from the brush before cleaning with brush cleaner |
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, dirt, grease, flaking paint or rust.
- Lightly rub down the radiator with sand paper and remove all dust and debris afterwards.
- Radiators must be turned off and only painted when cold.
- Mask off and cover the surrounding area to protect from overspray.
- Depending on your preference, the radiator can be painted whilst on or off the wall. If it is being painted whilst on the wall, ensure that the wall behind and floor underneath are fully covered to protect from any overspray.
- Take care not to paint over any valves or knobs in case you accidentally seal them with the paint.
Before applying Hammerite Radiator Enamel Metal Paint test a small area to ensure you are happy with the colour and finish.
- For best results store the Hammerite Radiator Spray Paint at room temperature for two hours prior to use.
- Shake can vigorously in a vertical motion, until the agitator ball is heard and continue to shake for a further 3 minutes.
- Spray in light even strokes from a distance of 15cm to avoid runs.
- Do not concentrate spray on one spot.
- When touch dry (around 15minutes) apply a further 2-3 coats, allowing 30 minutes between coats.
- Do not overspray as sagging may occur if excessive paint is applied.
- Between coats invert can and spray for 2 seconds to avoid blockages.

- Stir thoroughly before use and apply suing a brush.
- Apply 1 to 2 coats, allowing 16 hours between each coat.
- Leave radiators turned off for 12 hours after the final coat an ensure to ventilate the room for 12 hours once the radiators have been switched on.
Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.
