Graphenstone Siena Limewash - Tinted Colour Match

Graphenstone Siena is a mineral limewash paint designed to create a beautiful limewash effect on interior walls and ceilings. Made with aerated lime base and Graphenstone graphene technology, it delivers a soft, natural matt finish with subtle variations, and can achieve a variety of textured and tonal effects with specialist limewash brushes.

Highly breathable, Siena helps regulate moisture and reduce condensation while absorbing CO₂ during the curing process, while graphene fibres enhance resistance and durability for a long-lasting finish with excellent breathability, washability and a Class 1 wet scrub rating.

Tinted Colour Information

Suitable for interior surfaces, including new or previously painted plasterboard, drywall, plaster, prefabricated boards, brick or repaired substrates.

Ensure the substrate is firmly adhered, clean, dry and free from dust and other contaminants. Apply only when the ambient temperature is between +7°C and +35°C, and the relative humidity is below 80%.

• Open up any cracks and repair them using a suitable, compatible filler.
• Lightly sand any glossy or shiny surfaces and apply primer where necessary.

Note: If the substrate presents any particular challenges, site trials may be required to test and confirm suitability. Refer to the Graphenstone Application Manual or contact the Technical Department for further guidance.

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results.

• Shake the product thoroughly and dilute with 0-5% water for Limewash application. For patina or glaze effect, dilute with 50% water.
• Stir well before and during application, avoiding excessive shaking to minimise the formation of air bubbles.
• For pigmentation, add the liquid toner to the dilution of the product. Add some of the water to the pigment containers to make sure no pigment remains in the containers.
• For limewash application, apply 2 coats, with a brush, mitten, glove or sponge with soft and rounded gestures or multi-directional patterns according to the desired effect, so that the paint load is not evenly distributed in order to the natural effect of the lime is enhanced and the water effect and shadows are accentuated.
• For Brick Withewash Patina, mist with water if the brick surface is too dry. Apply 1 coat with roller, brush, masonry brush or airless. Allow paint to almost dry for 30-60 minutes (the drying time will vary depending on temperature and relative humidity) and begin to wash-off the surface until obtaining the desired effect with a slightly wet sponge or other tool. Touch up as needed. As it is a lime-based paint it is very important to respect the drying time between coats to realise optimal paint coverage. Take care not to apply the paints too thickly, which can affect curing times and can cause micro cracking.
• Full opacity and coverage will be achieved after 3-4 days. In the event that the finish looks a bit patchy, do not rush to apply another coat, instead, allow the paint to cure.
• Protect the painted surface from rain, condensation and water for 4–5 days to allow the paint to initially cure, including in kitchens, bathrooms and shower areas. Full curing takes approximately 30 days, after which the paint achieves Class 1 durability. Avoid rubbing or cleaning the surface during this curing period.

Store in the original container, tightly sealed, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Protect from freezing and temperatures below 5°C (41°F) or above 35°C (95°F).

When unopened, the product has a storage life of 24 months from the date of manufacture. The product may thicken during storage without affecting its performance. Shake thoroughly before use.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
