Graphenstone AmbientPro+ is a premium lime-based photocatalytic paint formulated to enhance both indoor and outdoor environments. Combining a natural mineral base with Graphenstone graphene technology, it delivers excellent breathability, durability and washability while helping to reduce odours and break down harmful particles when activated by natural or artificial light.

Its matt finish offers excellent coverage, while the lime base absorbs CO₂ as it cures and helps to reduce condensation, making AmbientPro+ a practical choice for healthier, more comfortable spaces.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Graphenstone tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Suitable for interior walls and ceilings, including plaster, dry lining, brick, compatible surfaces and previously painted surfaces. For exterior walls and masonry, it is suitable for renders, brick, compatible surfaces and previously painted surfaces.

Ensure the substrate is firmly adhered, clean, dry and free from dust and other contaminants. Apply only when the ambient temperature is between +7°C and +35°C, and the relative humidity is below 80%.

• Open up any cracks and repair them using a suitable, compatible filler.
• Lightly sand any glossy or shiny surfaces and apply primer where necessary.

Plaster:

• Clean the surface and lightly sand if required.

Plasterboard or filled areas:

• Spot prime and/or apply a mist coat of

Naturcolor

Absorbent surfaces:

Note: If the substrate presents any particular challenges, site trials may be required to test and confirm suitability. Refer to the Graphenstone Application Manual or contact the Technical Department for further guidance.

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results.

• Shake the product thoroughly and dilute with 10–15% water. Stir well before application, avoiding excessive shaking to minimise the formation of air bubbles.
• Apply 2–3 even coats, maintaining a consistent ‘wet edge’ to prevent lap marks. Cut in and roll one wall at a time, using the same dilution rate throughout. Roll as close to the edges as possible to minimise picture framing.
• Avoid applying the paint too thickly, as this can extend curing times and may cause micro-cracking. The natural mineral formulation benefits from thorough rolling and working out to help achieve a rich, smooth and even finish.
• Allow 2–4 hours between coats and approximately 24 hours for full drying. Drying times may vary depending on temperature and humidity.
• Full opacity and coverage will be achieved after 3-4 days. In the event that the finish looks a bit patchy, do not rush to apply another coat, instead, allow the paint to cure.
• Protect the painted surface from rain, condensation and water for 4–5 days to allow the paint to initially cure, including in kitchens, bathrooms and shower areas. Full curing takes approximately 30 days, after which the paint achieves Class 1 durability. Avoid rubbing or cleaning the surface during this curing period.
• Airless spray application: Recommended tips: 415-517 - pressure: 1800-2000 psi - thinning: 10%

Note: If using more than one tin of the same colour, intermix prior to use to ensure colour consistency. Check tinted product before application to avoid colour differences.

Store in the original container, tightly sealed, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Protect from freezing and temperatures below 5°C (41°F) or above 35°C (95°F).

When unopened, the product has a storage life of 24 months from the date of manufacture. The product may thicken during storage without affecting its performance. Shake thoroughly before use.

Q: How does the paint Ambient Pro+ Air Purifying Matt "purify" the air?

Ans: It features a built-in photocatalytic system that triggers whenever natural or artificial light hits the surface. This reaction actively breaks down unpleasant household odours, fumes, and common environmental toxins like Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) and VOCs.

Q: Does Ambient Pro+ Air Purifying Matt absorb Carbon Dioxide (CO₂)?

Ans: Yes, it does. Because the formula relies on pure artisanal lime, the coating physically pulls CO₂ out of the surrounding room and traps it away permanently as the paint cures.

Q: Can Ambient Pro+ Air Purifying Matt paint be washed or scrubbed?

Ans:Yes, absolutely. While classic lime paints are often delicate, the added graphene structures give this formula incredible strength. It holds a Class 1 Wet Scrub resistance rating, meaning it easily withstands regular wiping and cleaning without losing its tinted colour.

Q: What primer should I use before applying Ambient Pro+?

Ans:The correct primer depends on the specific surface you are painting:

• For porous or absorbent surfaces (such as brick, concrete, and fresh plaster), use Graphenstone Ambient Primer L42 to regulate absorption and ensure proper adhesion.
• For non-porous or smooth surfaces (such as wood, metal, glass, or PVC), use Graphenstone Four2Four Multi-Surface Primer to create a high-adhesion bridge coat.
• For plasterboard and previously painted walls , surfaces may require specific preparation or an alternative mist coat depending on their current condition.
