Dulux Weathershield Quick Dry Satin Paint - Wood and Metal

Dulux Weathershield Exterior Wood and Metal Quick Dry Satin paint is rainproof, mould resistant and touch dry in 2 hours. This paint comes with 6 years guaranteed protection from the weather. The finish that Quick Dry Satin provides is an attractive mid-sheen, perfect if you're looking for less of a shiny finish to a traditional gloss finish. The weatherproof film protects the surface from the elements, dirt and mould and is flexible enough to resist cracking, keeping the paintwork looking better for longer in comparison to Dulux gloss paints.

Special precautions should be taken when preparing pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

• Before painting, ensure surface is in clean, dry condition with no flaking or dirt.
• Sand down the surface, to remove any existing sheen.
• Any areas with mould, algae, fungi or lichen should first be treated with a fungicidal wash before painting.

Only apply in dry conditions, above 10°C and when bad weather is not forecast. Stir the paint thoroughly before you start to ensure an even distribution. We strongly advise you to test a small are before beginning, to ensure that you're happy with the colour and finish.

• First, apply two coats of Dulux Weathershield Quick Dry Undercoat to primed surfaces with a brush
• Apply one or two coats with a brush, leaving 6 hours between coats
• It is advisable to only use light colours on south facing, resinous wood
• Allow to dry for 6 hours
• Some dark colours may need a further coat

Always follow the manufacturer's instruction found on the tin

Store in a dry place and protect the paint from extreme temperatures

A. No, this paint is designed for use on wood and metal however we can recommend the Dulux Weathershield Multi Surface Quick Dry Satin which can be applied to a wider range of surfaces.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
