Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Dulux tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Clean Up	Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water

Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease and salts.

Remove all loose and defective paint. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Where necessary, wash the surface to remove dirt, grease and powdery or dusty residues. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry.

Seal surfaces that remain powdery after thorough preparation with an appropriate plaster sealer.

Where necessary, rub down and then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth to avoid dust.

Any surface defects should be filled with the appropriate Polycell Trade Polyfilla.

To get the best results, ensure the surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, and dry. It is recommended to test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure compatibility and that you are happy with the finished results.

Stir thoroughly before use.

Seal new or bare surfaces with a thinned first coat of Dulux Trade Supermatt (up to 1 part clean water to 3 parts paint).

The normal finishing process is 2 coats of thinned Dulux Trade Supermatt (up to 1 part clean water to 5 parts paint). For best colour consistency, purchase sufficient tinted paint for each job at one time from the same source. To ensure colour consistency, it is recommended to blend tins before use.

Airless Spray: For best results use a 517 Low Pressure tip @ 1500 - 1900 psi. (100 – 130 bar). Alternatively, use a 517 tip @ 2300 – 2700 psi (158 - 186 bar). Please note that the above recommendations are intended as a guideline only and some adjustments may need to be made to accommodate equipment type & age, substrate type and individual site & atmospheric conditions.

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.

Delivery of Tinted Products - Tinted paints are dispatched in line with our express order process, shown below. However, due to their bespoke nature, please allow up to an additional 5 working days to accommodate any potential courier delays or delivery issues before receiving a refund or replacement.

We strongly suggest customers avoid booking tradespeople until they receive their order. Next Day Paint will not be held liable for any costs incurred due to order processing errors, delivery delays, or other issues that may result in financial loss.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
