Preparation
Make sure that the surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry. It is particularly important that new surfaces are fully dry. All defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease and wax must be completely removed. Prime new or bare surfaces with an appropriate Dulux Trade primer and treat any knots in wood with an appropriate knotting solution.
Rub down previously painted surfaces thoroughly, using ‘wet flatting’ methods where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth. Pre 1960's painted surfaces may contain harmful lead, so special precautions must be taken
Any surface defects should be filled with the appropriate filler
Application
Note: always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin
Stir thoroughly before use. Start with 1 coat of Dulux Trade Undercoat in the appropriate colour, and allow at least 6 hours for it to dry before applying the Dulux Trade High Gloss. Apply 1 or 2 coats with a brush or roller only. Do not spray. If you need new work to dry quickly, Dulux Trade Quick Dry Wood Primer Undercoat, available in white only, can be used as an alternative to the Dulux Trade Undercoat
If you need to apply a second coat of High Gloss, ensure that you leave at least 16 hours drying time between coats.
On rough or textured surfaces, or when using special process colours (see appropriate Dulux Trade colour literature), 2 coats will be required to achieve full opacity.

Store and transport upright with the lid firmly closed. Avoid extremes of temperature and frostDelivery

Faulty Items
If you find a fault with your product, we can offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days. We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you. Please contact us to discuss these options. If you find fault after 30 days of purchase you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly as they will be able to offer support with the product.
