Crown Trade Extramatt Low Reflective Emulsion - 2.5 Litre

Crown Trade ExtraMatt Low Reflective Emulsion is a professional-grade, water-based emulsion designed for interior walls and ceilings. Its extremely low reflective finish alleviates visual imperfections and eliminates flashing, making it the go-to choice for ceiling applications and touch-up work where a flawless, uniform appearance is essential.

Formulated with a vinyl acetate copolymer binder and titanium dioxide pigmentation, this high opacity emulsion delivers excellent coverage of up to 11m² per litre on smooth surfaces. With a VOC content of just 1g/l and a touch-dry time of just 1-2 hours at 20°C, it makes for a cleaner, more comfortable decorating environment.

Available in a 2.5 litre format, it is suitable for new build, maintenance, and renovation projects across interior walls and ceilings.

All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that may interfere with adhesion.

• Porous surfaces: Apply a mist coat of Crown Trade ExtraMatt Low Reflective Emulsion diluted with 40% clean water by volume. Where clean water is unavailable, apply one coat of Crown Trade Covermatt Drywall Primer. Any areas of surface filling after priming should be touched in with the priming or mist coat diluted as for main areas.
• Powdery surfaces: Prime with one coat of Sandtex Quick Dry Stabilising Solution.
• Polished or dense surfaces: Prime with Crown Trade PX3 Primer, or Crown Trade PX4 Primer where a water-based alternative is required.

Note: Do not apply when air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C, or when relative humidity exceeds 80% during application or the drying period.

1. Stir well before and during use to ensure a consistent mixture.
2. Apply using good quality tools - a synthetic brush or medium pile roller is recommended.
3. For airless spray: dilution may be required. Follow the spray manufacturer's guidelines.
4. Apply two coats as required. Certain colours may need additional coats for complete obliteration.
5. Always intermix (box) packs of the same colour to ensure consistency across the job.
6. Check colour accuracy before application. Crown Paints is not liable for decorating costs resulting from an incorrect colour being applied.
7. Allow adequate ventilation during application and throughout the drying period.

Crown Trade ExtraMatt Low Reflective Emulsion is designed as a first-time application finish, intended to be overcoated with a more durable paint if required over time.

If surface cleaning becomes necessary to remove dirt or marks, take care - this coating can be easily marked or damaged. Only gentle wiping with a damp detergent cloth is recommended. Anything more vigorous risks burnishing or removing the coating entirely.

After use, return any surplus material to the container. Clean all tools and equipment immediately with clean water or a warm soapy solution, then rinse thoroughly.

A. Yes, Crown Trade ExtraMatt Low Reflective Emulsion is suitable for both interior walls and ceilings. Its extremely low reflective finish is particularly well suited to ceilings and touch-up applications where eliminating flashing and disguising surface imperfections is a priority.

Q. Can I clean painted surfaces after application?

A. This product is not designed for heavy cleaning. If dirt removal is necessary, use only gentle wiping with a damp detergent cloth. More vigorous cleaning risks burnishing or removing the coating. For areas that require regular cleaning, consider overcoating with a more durable paint finish once the ExtraMatt has been applied.

Faulty Items
