Crown Trade All Purpose Primer PX4 - White

Crown Trade PX4 is a high-performance, quick-drying primer designed for bonding to difficult surfaces and providing a solid base for topcoats. Suitable for both interior and exterior use, it is ideal for substrates such as glass, ceramic tiles, melamine, previously painted surfaces, most woods, and non-ferrous metals. The forumla is rapid drying and allows for second coats in just one hours and is capable of blocking stubborn stains.

New Surfaces: All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied. On uncoated porous wall and ceiling surfaces, the first coat can be thinned with up to 50% clean water. When used as a stain block primer two coats are recommended.

Previously Decorated Surfaces: All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied e.g. dirt, grease etc. Remove all loose, failing or suspect paint. Feather edges of sound paint. Remove all dust. Organic growth must be treated with Sandtex Trade Fungicidal Solution and removed. Fill any fixing holes, cracks and shallow surface defects with Sandtex Ready Mixed Filler. Patch prime bare and filled areas with Crown Trade PX4. Wash remaining sound paint or any smoke, graffiti or soiled areas (excluding water stains) with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove any contaminants, frequently changing the water. Any glossy or eggshell
surfaces should be wet abraded to provide a key. Rinse with clean water to remove all residues. Allow to dry. If after cleaning any areas are still contaminated with substances
likely to cause staining and/or bleeding, patch prime with two coats of Crown Trade PX4. When used as a stain block primer two coats are recommended.

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin. We recommend to test a small area before painting the entire surface to ensure compatibility

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

If we have sent you a different item from what you ordered, we will be happy to organise an exchange for the correct goods at no extra charge to yourself, please get in touch to organise this.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
