Crown Trade Acrylic Gloss Paint - White

Crown Trade Acrylic Gloss is a water-based paint that delivers a smooth, durable high sheen finish, ideal for interior wood and suitably primed metal. This water-based gloss is a great alternative to traditional solvent-based gloss, with a formulation that offers excellent flow and levelling properties for a professional finish. Quick drying and durable, it also delivers a finish that stays whiter for longer.

All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied.

New Wood Surfaces

• Timber with oils/extractives must be swabbed with clean methylated spirits, frequently changing the face of the cloths.
• At the end of preparation, prime the surface with one coat of Crown Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat.

Note: On pre-primed MDF, Spot prime bare and filled areas with one coat of Crown Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat followed by one coat of Crown Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat all over.

Timber and Timber Based Boards (including MDF)

• Treat knots with two thin coats of fresh knotting.
• Fill any fixing holes, open joints and shallow surface defects with Sandtex Ready Mixed Filler.
• Rub down the surface with a suitable grade of abrasive paper. Remove all dust.

New Metals

• Lightly abrade to a bright (not polished) surface – excluding galvanised surfaces.
• Wash with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove oil, grease or any other contaminants, frequently changing the water.
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
• Allow to dry.
• When dry prime with one coat of Crown Trade Universal Metal Primer, then undercoat with one coat of Crown Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat.

Galvanised Metal

• Bright galvanised surfaces should be pre-treated with a T Wash.
• Overall blackening of the surface will confirm satisfactory surface degreasing.
• When dry, prime with one coat of Crown Trade Universal Metal Primer.

Non Ferrous Metals

• Prime bare metal with one coat of Crown Trade Universal Metal Primer.

Ferrous Metals

• Remove all millscale and rust back to clean bright metal. Remove all residues.
• Prime within the working day with one coat of Crown Trade Universal Metal Primer.

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results

• Stir well before and during use.
• Apply 2 coats by brush or roller to an even thickness (use good quality tools – synthetic brush or medium micro fibre pile roller). For airless spray, dilution may be required. For further information, follow the spray manufacturer’s guidelines. Maintain a wet edge.
• To assist application on porous substrates, the surface may be dampened slightly.
• On timber, lay off in the direction of the grain.
• Avoid excessive de-nibbing in-between coats.
• Always intermix packs for colour consistency. Please check for colour accuracy prior to application. Crown Paints or Next Day Paint is not liable for decorating costs caused as a result of an incorrect colour being applied.

NOTE: Certain colours may require additional coats to give complete obliteration.

Between maintenance redecoration, surfaces may be washed with a warm water and liquid detergent solution to remove surface dirt

Store upright and secure. Store in secure, dry conditions inaccessible to children or animals. Containers should be kept closed during storage. Do not store below 5ºC or above 40ºC.

Delivery - All orders placed on a working day before 3pm will be dispatched on the same day for next working day delivery. While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

If we have sent you a different item from what you ordered, we will be happy to organise an exchange for the correct goods at no extra charge to yourself, please get in touch to organise this.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
