Caparol Indeko-plus is a water-based emulsion paint for interior walls and ceilings, known for its exceptional opacity. Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Caparol tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Ensure all substrates are sound, stable, dry, clean, and free from dust, grease, or other substances that could prevent good adhesion.

Renders

• Solid, normally absorbent, even renders can be coated directly.
• Slightly sanding or absorbent renders: prime with OptiSilan TiefGrund, CapaSol RapidGrund, or Sylitol RapidGrund 111.
• Strongly sanding renders: prime with OptiSilan TiefGrund.

Gypsum Plasters

• Sand and remove dust.
• Prime with OptiSilan TiefGrund, CapaSol RapidGrund, or Sylitol RapidGrund 111.

Gypsum Boards / Planks

• Prime with OptiSilan TiefGrund.
• For sanded filler areas or boards with water-soluble discoloring ingredients, use Caparol AquaSperrgrund.

Concrete

• Remove release agents and chalking.
• Prime with OptiSilan TiefGrund, RapidGrund, or Sylitol RapidGrund 111.

Sand-Lime Masonry

• Brush off salt efflorescence.
• Prime with CapaSol RapidGrund or Sylitol RapidGrund 111. For stronger absorption, use OptiSilan TiefGrund.

Load-Bearing Coatings

• Recoat matt, slightly absorbent coatings directly.
• Roughen glossy surfaces.

Non-Bearing Coatings

• Remove unstable varnish, dispersion paints, or synthetic resin plaster coatings.
• Prime porous or absorbent surfaces with OptiSilan TiefGrund.
• Mechanically remove non-bearing mineral paint coatings, remove dust, then apply one priming coat of OptiSilan TiefGrund.

Glue-Bound Distemper

• Wash existing distemper thoroughly, dry, then prime with Dupa-Putzfestiger or OptiSilan TiefGrund.

Wallpapers

• Relief or embossed paper wallpapers can be coated directly; apply a trial coat where necessary.
• Foamed wallpapers may cause stickiness or odour reactions when coated.
• For removed wallpaper, wash off paste and residues, then apply one priming coat of OptiSilan TiefGrund.

Mould-Infested Surfaces

• Remove mould by wet cleaning, wash with Capatox, and allow to dry thoroughly.
• Follow local regulations for chemical use.
• Use Malerit-W, Indeko-W, or Fungitex-W for additional protection.

Surfaces with Stains (Nicotine, Water, Soot, Grease)

• Clean thoroughly, allow to dry, then apply a barrier priming coat with Caparol AquaSperrgrund Fein or Caparol-Filtergrund grob.

Wood & Wood-Based Materials

• Apply one priming coat of Capacryl Holz-IsoGrund.
• For factory-coated melamine boards, use Capacryl Haftprimer.
• For higher visual standards, consider a decoupling layer with thin gypsum boards.

Old Lime Filler Techniques

• Sand off sintered layers.
• Negative wetting test: remove entire layer and rebuild substrate.
• Positive wetting test: prime with OptiSilan TiefGrund.

Chips, Joints, and Defects

• Fill recesses with Füllspachtel P.

Indeko-plus can be applied using a paint brush, roller, or airless spray equipment.

Airless Application

• Dilution: Maximum 5% with water
• Spray Pressure: 150–180 bar
• Spray Angle: 40°–50°
• Nozzle Size: 0.019"–0.021"
• Pistol Filter: approx. 0.31 mm

Internally Fed Roller Systems

• Spray Pressure: 80–120 bar
• Pistol Filter: approx. 0.31 mm

White Coat: Apply a rich, even coat of Indeko-plus, undiluted or diluted with up to 5% water. On high-contrast surfaces, apply a priming coat first, diluted with a maximum of 5% water. For differently absorbent substrates, prime with Caparol HaftGrund EG.

Tool Cleaning: Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with water.

Note: If using more than one can of the same colour, intermix prior to use to ensure colour consistency. Check tinted product prior to application to avoid colour differences.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
