Caparol Capacryl Haftprimer High Opacity Adhesion Primer - Tinted Colour Match

Caparol Capacryl Haftprimer High Opacity Adhesion Primer is a premium water-based acrylic primer suitable for use indoors and outdoors, engineered to deliver strong adhesion and reliable coverage on challenging surfaces. Loved by decorators for its high opacity, quick-drying, and easy sanding properties, it creates the perfect base to prepare for a smooth, durable top coat finish.

Haftprimer primer bonds exceptionally well to a wide range of substrates, including previously coated surfaces, enamel finishes, wood, zinc and galvanised metal, rigid PVC, aluminium, and copper. Its water-based, environmentally responsible formulation is gentle enough for applications such as children’s toys while still offering professional-grade performance.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Caparol tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay.

Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

A tinted primer can be used to help obtain the true depth of colour for your top coat or to reduce the amount of coats required when a drastic colour change is occurring. A tinted primer will not necessarily be the same colour as your selected topcoat. It will be tinted towards the topcoat colour and generally lighter in shade. For example if your topcoat is black your primer may be a shade of grey. If you are unsure about when a tinted primer is required please contact us and we can advise further.

Always ensure the substrate is clean, sound, and appropriately prepared before painting.

• Sand following the grain direction and clean the surface. Remove all seeping wood contents, such as wood resin/rosin and resin galls. Cut sharp edges

• Wash with light ammonia solution using a sanding pad.

• Clean with destined detergents, e.g. Gescha Multi-Star, then sand with a plastic abrasive fleece.

• Sand the surface of existing coats of paint and/or treat slightly with alkali. Remove unstable existing coatings.

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure compatibility

• Stir well before use. If needed, dilute with up to 5% clean tap water.
• Suitable for brush, roller or spray equipment. See datasheet for more details.

Note: Apply in +8 °C temperatures and a maximum relative humidity of 70 %

Note: If using more than one can of the same colour, intermix prior to use to ensure colour consistency. Check tinted product prior to application to avoid colour differences.

Keep in a cool, but frost-free place.

Shelf life: 24 months in the original, tightly closed container.

However, due to their bespoke nature, please allow up to an additional 5 working days to accommodate any potential courier delays or delivery issues before receiving a refund or replacement.

We strongly suggest customers avoid booking tradespeople until they receive their order. Next Day Paint will not be held liable for any costs incurred due to order processing errors, delivery delays, or other issues that may result in financial loss.

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

For non-tinted products, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. Items must be returned unused, in original condition and packaging, at your own expense.

Incorrect Item

If we have sent you a different item from what you ordered, we will be happy to organise an exchange for the correct goods at no extra charge to yourself, please get in touch to organise this.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
