Bradite One Can Eggshell OC64 is a high-performance primer, stain blocker and eggshell finish in one, offering outstanding adhesion and long-lasting protection on almost any surface.

This water-based, low odour paint sticks directly to wood, metal, uPVC, plaster, concrete, glass and ceramic tiles with no separate primer required on most substrates.

Touch dry in 30 minutes and re-coatable after 1 hour, it delivers a hard-wearing, flexible, mould and mildew-resistant low sheen coating with excellent stain-blocking and anti-corrosive properties for interior and exterior use.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Bradite tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Clean Up	Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, sound and free from dust, grease, oil, wax and any loose or flaking material before painting.

• Remove all loose or poorly adhered coatings and feather the edges back to a sound surface.
• Clean grease, oil and contaminants using Bradite TD39 Industrial Degreaser or methylated spirit.
• Lightly abrade sound existing coatings to provide a good key for adhesion.
• Fill cracks, holes and surface imperfections with a suitable filler before painting.
• Ensure walls, ceilings and timber have a moisture content below 15% before application.

Mould

• Do not paint over existing mould or mildew.
• Treat affected areas with a suitable fungicidal wash or a solution of one part bleach to three parts water.
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow the surface to dry completely before painting.
• Improve ventilation and resolve any underlying moisture or condensation issues to prevent mould returning.

Substrate Preparation

• Metals: Degrease with methylated spirit and lightly abrade where possible. Remove white salts from galvanised steel. Treat light rust with Bradite Rust Converter RC46, remove heavy rust back to clean metal.
• New Wood: Ensure timber moisture content is below 15%. Wipe knots with methylated spirit and spot-prime active knots with aluminium wood primer if required.
• Hardwoods: Wipe with methylated spirit and lightly abrade before painting.
• Green Oak: Allow to weather for at least six months before coating.
• uPVC, Plastics, Formica & Melamine: Degrease thoroughly using Bradite TD39 Industrial Degreaser or methylated spirit and lightly abrade to maximise adhesion.
• Exterior cladding, powder coated, Varnish and Existing paint finish: Remove loose coatings, degrease with Bradite Industrial Degreaser TD39, rinse with clean water and sand to create a smooth, keyed surface.
• New Plaster: Allow skim plaster to dry for at least four weeks before painting. Thin the first coat with 5–25% clean water depending on surface porosity. Newly plastered walls should ideally cure for six months before decorating. Not recommended for lime or natural plasters.
• Masonry, Brick & Concrete: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, fully cured and free from contamination. Remove loose coatings and sand back to a sound, well-feathered edge. Treat any mould or mildew with fungicidal wash before painting.

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results. The application should always conform to the codes of practice described in BS 6150 and BS 5493.

• Ensure the paint is thoroughly stirred prior to application.
• One Can Eggshell is a single pack product, supplied ready for use. If required, thin with 5-15% water for brush or roller application.
• Apply 2–3 coats by brush, roller or spray, allowing the recommended drying time between coats.

Stain Blocking

• One Can helps lock in stains, knots and water marks within the primer coat.
• A second coat is normally required for full opacity, while severe stains may require a third coat.
• Allow the first coat to hard dry for at least 1 hour before overcoating.

Airless spray: Thin with 5-15% water as required. Tip size - 19 thou (0.48mm) approximately - Tip pressure - 2100 psi (15MPa) approximately. (Guidelines Only).

Conventional Air Spray: Thin with 5-15% water as required. Tip size - 2.0mm - Tip pressure - 60psi (0.4MPa) approximately. (Guidelines Only).

Note: If using more than one tin of the same colour, intermix prior to use to ensure colour consistency. Check tinted product before application to avoid colour differences.

 

Delivery - All orders placed on a working day before 3pm will be dispatched on the same day for next working day delivery. Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed after 3pm on Friday, weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day.

However, due to their bespoke nature, please allow up to an additional 5 working days to accommodate any potential courier delays or delivery issues before receiving a refund or replacement.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.
