Blackfriar Professional Polyurethane Floor Paint protects floors with a tough, hardwearing, polyurethane finish. Resists oil, grease and chemicals, making it ideal for interior and exterior, industrial and domestic surfaces.
- Gloss finish
- Resistant to grease, oil and weak solutions of acid and alkali
- For foot and light traffic areas
- Tintable to RAL, NCS, Brand Colours and British Standard 4800, 381C and 5252F
NOT suitable for use over PVC, thermoplastic tiles, quarry tiles, asphalt floors or granolithic concrete. Do not apply to concrete surfaces treated with alkali containing liquids, areas subjected to rising damp or areas treated with PVA bonding solutions.
Tinted Colour Information
Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Zinsser tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Make sure that the surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease or any substance that is likely to make adhesion difficult.
- Scrape off any old or flaking paint until you have a firm surface.
- Areas under cars must be completely clear of oil, grease, dirt and road salt.
- New concrete must be left for at least 6 months before applying Blackfriar Professional Polyurethane Floor Paint.
Note: Always follow the manufacturer's directions found on the tin.
- Stir thoroughly before use.
- Apply with a brush or roller, working the paint into any surface imperfections.
- Bare or New Surfaces: First apply Blackfriar Professional Solvent Based Floor Sealer,, followed by 1-2 coats of Blackfriar Professional Polyurethane Floor Paint.
- Previously Painted Surfaces: Apply 1-2 coats with a brush or roller. Do not spray
- If concrete floors are very smooth, pre-treat with Blackfriar Professional Acid Etch followed by Blackfriar Solvent Based Floor Sealer before applying 1-2 coats of this product.
- Surfaces are slippery when wet. The floor must be kept dry when in use. Use protective mats to help preserve the surface under vehicle tyres.
Q. Can Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint be painted on new cement?
A. No, Blackfriar advises to wait a minimum of 6 months for the cement to fully cure and dry before applying the floor paint as this will affect the performance and the longevity of the product.
Q. Can Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint be painted on tiles?
A. No Blackfriar does not advise to use this product as the paint will have difficulty adhering to the surface. Which will result to the product to peel off.
Q. What is the minimum temperature I need to paint Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint in?
A. Blackfriar advises that the room needs to be 5°C+ the drying times may vary as the statistics given are from 20°C temperatures.
Q. Does the colour green come in the smaller sizes?/h4>
A. Blackfriar has discontinued the smaller sizes this colour is only available in a 5 Litre.

However, due to their bespoke nature, please allow up to an additional 5 working days to accommodate any potential courier delays or delivery issues before receiving a refund or replacement.
We strongly suggest customers avoid booking tradespeople until they receive their order. Next Day Paint will not be held liable for any costs incurred due to order processing errors, delivery delays, or other issues that may result in financial loss.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.
