Blackfriar Professional Acrylic Floor Paint is quick drying, water based and multi-surface. Ideal for most previously painted surfaces, it protects floors and gives a hard wearing finish which stops the dusting of concrete surfaces.

NOT suitable for use over PVC, thermoplastic tiles, quarry tiles or granolithic concrete. Do not apply to concrete surfaces treated with alkali containing liquids or areas subjected to rising damp or treated with PVA bonding solutions.

Ensure the surface is sound, clean, dry and free from grease or any substance that is likely to cause issues with adhesion.

• Scrape off any old or flaking paint until you have a firm surface.
• Make sure that all oil, grease, dirt, and road salt is removed from areas under cars.
• Leave new concrete for at least 6 months before applying Blackfriar Professional Acrylic Floor Paint.

Note: Always follow the manufacturer's directions found on the tin.

• Stir thoroughly before use. Apply with a brush or roller only, working the paint in any surface imperfections.
• Bare or New Surfaces: If the surface you're applying Blackfriar Professional Acrylic Floor Paint to is bare or new, first apply Blackfriar Professional Water Based Floor Sealer, followed by 1-2 coats of Blackfriar Professional Acrylic Floor Paint applied with a brush or roller
• Previously Painted Surfaces: Apply 1-2 coats with a brush or roller. Do not spray
• Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C, damp or humid conditions.

Q. Can Blackfriar Acrylic Floor Paint be sprayed?

A. No, Blackfriar has formulated this product to be applied by brush and roller only.

Q. What are the minimum temperature I need to paint this in?

A. Blackfriar advises that the room needs to be 5°C+ the drying times may vary as the statistics given are from 20°C temperatures.

Q. Is Blackfriar Acrylic Floor Paint a better product than the Polyurethane Floor Paint?

A. The polyurethane paint is formulated to resist oil and grease but contains a higher VOC level as it is solvent based. Whereas the acrylic paint is water-based and recommend by Blackfriar to use for indoor use for its quick drying formulation. Both products are ideal for foot and light traffic areas.

However, due to their bespoke nature, please allow up to an additional 5 working days to accommodate any potential courier delays or delivery issues before receiving a refund or replacement.

We strongly suggest customers avoid booking tradespeople until they receive their order. Next Day Paint will not be held liable for any costs incurred due to order processing errors, delivery delays, or other issues that may result in financial loss.

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

If we have sent you a different item from what you ordered, we will be happy to organise an exchange for the correct goods at no extra charge to yourself, please get in touch to organise this.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
