Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Benjamin Moore tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Clean Up	Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dirt, dust, grease, oil, soap, wax, scaling paint, water soluble materials, and mildew.

• Remove any peeling or scaling paint and sand these areas to feather edges smooth with adjacent surfaces. Glossy areas should be dulled. Drywall surfaces must be free of sanding dust.
• Spot prime with Aura Bath & Spa Matte Finish before and after filling nail holes, cracks, and other surface imperfections.
• Surfactant leaching is a common problem in areas where moisture concentrates on walls like bathrooms & showers. While Aura® Bath & Spa Matte Finish has excellent resistance to surfactant leaching. Surfactant leaching stains on existing coatings must be removed prior to painting. Thoroughly wash surfaces to be painted, removing any surfactants that may be on the substrate then allow to dry. Areas with heavy surfactant leaching, should also be primed with Fresh Start High-Hiding All Purpose Primer (046) before applying Aura Bath & Spa Matte Finish. For best results, allow a minimum of 24 hours before returning to full service.
• New plaster or masonry surfaces must be allowed to cure (30 days) before applying base coat. Cured plaster should be hard, have a slight sheen and maximum pH of 10; soft, porous or powdery plaster indicates improper cure. Never sand a plaster surface; knife off any protrusions and prime plaster before and after applying patching compound.
• Difficult Substrates: Benjamin Moore offers a variety of specialty primers for use over difficult substrates such as plaster, bleeding woods, grease stains, crayon markings, hard glossy surfaces, galvanised metal or other substrates where paint adhesion or stain suppression is a particular problem. Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results

• Stir thoroughly before and during use
• Aura Bath & Spa Matte Finish is self priming on most surfaces. Two coats of Aura Bath & Spa is recommended on all surfaces for best results.
• Use the same brushing techniques as you would for any low-VOC interior coating. Benjamin Moore recommends an extra firm nylon polyester brush for best results. Aura offers excellent flow and levelling. Do not over brush in the attempt to smooth out brush marks.
• We recommend the Benjamin Moore® Aura® shed-resistant, 9.5 mm nap roller cover for best results. Aura dries faster than other acrylic paints, so avoid lap marks by maintaining a wet edge. Roll out vertical sections in 90 to 120 cm (3' to 4')widths. If your edge begins to dry or you see that you missed a spot and the paint is already setting up, allow it to dry completely before touching up that area.
• This product can also be sprayed. Spray, Airless: Fluid Pressure — 1,000 – 2,000 PSI; Tip — .013 - .017 Orifice
• Thinning: Conditioning with Benjamin Moore® 518 Extender may be necessary under certain conditions to adjust open time or spray characteristics. Add 518 Extender or water - Max of 236 mL to a can of 3.79 L. Never add other paints or solvents.

Note: Certain custom colours may require a Deep Base Primer tinted to a special prescription formula to achieve the desired colour.

Q. Can I use Benjamin Moore Aura Bath & Spa in a full bathroom with a shower?

A. Yes, it’s specifically formulated for steamy, humid areas, making it ideal for bathrooms with showers and home spas.

Q. What finish does Benjamin Aura Bath & Spa have?

A. It features a unique matte finish that resists moisture and maintains its elegance—even in damp conditions. Unlike standard matte paints, it won't streak or peel in humidity.

Q. Is Benjamin Aura Bath & Spa suitable for use inside a shower cubicle or on a shower tray?

A. No, Benjamin Moore Aura Bath & Spa is not suitable for direct application to surfaces that are constantly wet, such as shower cubicles, shower trays, or tiled areas exposed to running water. It’s designed for use on walls and ceilings in high-humidity areas, but not on surfaces with direct and frequent water contact. For those areas, a waterproof tile or specialty coating is recommended.
