Bedec Aqua Advanced Paint Primer Undercoat

A high performance acrylic primer and undercoat formulated using 100% acrylic polymer resin to provide a high level of durability, adhesion and water resistance. Ideal for both interior and exterior use it provides adhesion to most substrates as well as providing a suitable base before applying water or solvent based enamels.

Formulated as a three coat system using Aqua Advanced Paint in eggshell, satin or gloss as the first coat. Designed with the trade decorator in mind the requirements of a top quality trim paint have been fulfilled.

For the best results always thoroughly prepare the surface. Ensure the surfaces to be painted are clean dry and free from dust, dirt, grease and wax.

• On previously painted and glossy surfaces remove all loose or flaking paint and rub down with an abrasive paper.
• Areas affected by mould should be treated with a suitable fungicidal wash.
• Bare steel - remove any rust and dirt and apply Bedec Water-Based All Metals Primer.
• Pressure treated timber - should be weathered for at least six months prior to painting.
• Weathered wood - should be abraded to allow for maximum penetration.
• New planed, finished wood or PSE wood - should also be abraded to open the grain and allow maximum penetration.
• Block any staining or any knots with Bedec Stain Block.

• Stir well and only apply when temperatures are above 8°C.
• Apply by brush, roller, conventional H.V.L.P or airless spray, do not over spread.
• Spraying will considerably reduce the coverage rate depending on the type of spray equipment used.
• In most applications you will only require one coat.

We recommend to finish decorating with Bedec Aqua Advanced Eggshell, Satin or High Gloss.

Q.What is the drying time of Bedec Aqua Advanced Primer?

Ans.The drying time for Bedec Aqua Advanced Primer depends on the conditions. It is typically touch dry within 30 minutes, recoatable after approximately four hours at 18°C with 65% relative humidity. Full hardening occurs after one week. Adequate ventilation is recommended during both application and drying processes.

Q.In which areas Bedec Aqua Advanced Primer is not recommended?

Ans. Aqua Advanced Primer Undercoat is not recommended for surfaces subjected to constant water contact, like shower cubicles, or high-traffic areas such as worktops and handrails. Additionally, it is advisable to avoid using the primer on substrates treated with water-repellent preservatives, as it may compromise adhesion.

  Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday AM (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day for delivery on the following AM. All orders have a charge of £12.99 for AM delivery.

• Late Cut-Off: Get an extra hour to place your order for Next Working Day delivery.
  Orders placed on a working day before 4pm will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 4pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. All orders have a charge of £5.99 for Late Cut-Off delivery.

• Saturday Delivery: Get your order on Saturday
  Option available on Fridays. Orders placed on Friday before 3pm will be delivered on Saturday. All orders have a charge of £9.95 for Saturday delivery.

We do not deliver to the Channel Islands or the Republic of Ireland

We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you.
