Armstead Trade Durable Acrylic Eggshell combines performance, durability, and professional finish, making it the perfect choice for both commercial and domestic interiors.

Proper surface preparation ensures maximum adhesion, durability, and a smooth finish.

• Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease, wax, or contaminants.
• Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, using wet flatting where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint-free cloth.
• Treat knots in timber with a suitable knotting solution.
• New or bare surfaces should be primed with an appropriate Armstead Trade primer before applying the eggshell finish.
• Lead Paint Warning: Take special precautions when preparing old paintwork on wood or metal surfaces coated before the 1990s, as they may contain lead. Use appropriate safety procedures and protective equipment when sanding or stripping.

Correct preparation ensures a tough, durable, and professional-looking mid-sheen finish that lasts.

Always follow the manufacturers instructions found on the tin, it is recommended that a small test area is applied before painting the entire surface to ensure compatibility.

• Do not apply in temperatures below 8°C, in line with British Standard BS 6150.
• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and properly prepared before painting. On surfaces previously decorated with conventional solvent-based paints, thorough surface preparation is essential for proper adhesion.
• Stir the paint thoroughly before use to ensure consistent colour and finish.
• Apply using a brush, roller, or airless sprayer
• Sealing new or bare surfaces add up to 1 part clean water to 10 parts paint.
• Airless spray application: For normal use thin up to 10% (1 part water to 10 parts paint).
• Airless Spray: For best results use a 515 or 517 Low Pressure tip @ 1300 - 1700 psi (89 - 117 bar). Alternatively, use a 517 tip @ 2000 - 2400 psi (138 - 165 bar).
• Apply 2 full coats of Armstead Trade Durable Acrylic Eggshell for optimum coverage and durability.
• On previously painted surfaces in good condition with similar colours, 1 coat may be sufficient.
• Maintain even coverage and avoid over-brushing or over-rolling to achieve a smooth, mid-sheen finish.
• Allow 4-6 hours between coats.

Ensure good ventilation during application and drying to achieve a professional, durable finish.

Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost. To prevent spillage, please store and transport upright.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items
