• Clean immediately after use - never allow paint to dry on the sleeve. Head to a sink or bucket as soon as you've finished painting.
• Rinse under warm running water - gently squeeze and roll the sleeve from the core outwards until the water runs completely clear.
• Use mild detergent if needed - for heavier paint build-up, work a small amount of washing-up liquid through the fibres and rinse thoroughly.
• Restore the nap carefully - after rinsing, run your fingers gently through the full length of the 15mm fibres to separate them and restore an even, open texture. This step is particularly important with a longer nap to prevent matting across the full 14" width.
• Dry upright or suspended - stand the roller on its end or hang it to air-dry completely. Never store a damp sleeve flat — the longer nap is especially prone to matting and distortion if compressed while wet.
• Store in a clean, dry place - once fully dry, keep sleeves in their original packaging or a sealed bag to protect the fibres from dust, compression, and damage between uses.

Note: These rollers are designed for use with water-based paints only. Use with solvent-based or oil-based products is not recommended and may cause damage to the microfibre material.

Q. Do I need to prepare the roller sleeve before using it for the first time?

A. Absolutely - Two Fussy Blokes strongly recommend the "rinse and spin before you begin" method. Before loading the roller with paint, simply run the sleeve under water, give it a good spin to remove the excess moisture, and then begin painting as normal. This quick step primes the microfibre and ensures the roller performs at its very best right from the first stroke. It also makes a significant difference to how easily the sleeve cleans up afterwards, saving you time and effort at the end of the job.
