Tikkurila Nova 2 High-Opacity Flat Matt - 10L - Tinted Colour Match

Tikkurila Nova 2 is a high-opacity flat matt trade paint designed for professional use on interior walls and ceilings.

This water-based emulsion delivers a durable 2% sheen finish with excellent coverage, making it ideal for new builds, schools, offices, hotels and residential properties. Suitable for wall surfaces such as concrete, plaster, filler and plasterboard, Nova 2 provides a smooth, full matt appearance with low-emission performance. Awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and approved by the Finnish Allergy and Asthma Federation, it is an excellent choice for environmentally conscious and high-traffic interior spaces.

Please note that Nova 2 White may appear slightly off-white due to the product’s base colour. For a brighter, more reflective, brilliant white finish, Tikkurila Lumi is recommended.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Tikkurila tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order. Note: Depending on the amount of colourant required to mix your chosen colour, there may be up to a 10% variant on the advertised paint volume.

Clean Up	Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and properly prepared before painting.

Unpainted surfaces:

• Remove all dirt and dust from the surface.
• Fill any cracks, holes or imperfections with a suitable Tikkurila Presto or Prestonit filler, then sand smooth once dry.
• Remove all sanding dust before painting.

Previously painted surfaces:

• Wash surfaces with diluted Maalipesu detergent to remove dirt and grease.
• Fill cracks and holes with a suitable Tikkurila Presto or Prestonit filler and sand smooth once dry.
• Remove all sanding dust before painting.

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results

• Stir Nova 2 thoroughly before use.
• Thin with water if necessary.
• Apply 1–2 coats using a roller, spray or brush.
• The surface to be painted must be dry. Apply when temperatures are at least +5°C and relative humidity is below 80%.

Note: If using more than one tin of the same colour, intermix prior to use to ensure colour consistency. Check tinted product before application to avoid colour differences.

Allow approximately one month before cleaning painted surfaces to ensure the coating reaches full hardness and durability. During this period, handle surfaces with care and clean only by dry methods such as a vacuum cleaner, soft brush or dust cloth, as damp cleaning may leave marks.

For future maintenance, surfaces painted with Nova 2 can be repainted using the same or a similar water-based paint.

Protect from frost and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Tinted paint and opened containers are not suitable for long-term storage, so ensure the lid is tightly sealed after use.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
