Tikkurila Muuri Fireplace and Firewall Paint - Tinted Colour

Tikkurila Muuri is a premium heat-resistant paint specially formulated for interior fireplaces, firewalls and other surfaces exposed to elevated temperatures.

Featuring an updated silicate formula, it offers improved colour vibrancy, enhanced opacity and excellent in-can stability.

Resistant to temperatures up to 180°C, Muuri provides a breathable, water vapour permeable coating that withstands continuous heat exposure while maintaining a beautiful, full matt finish. Water-based and low in VOCs, it is available in 25 contemporary shades to complement both traditional and modern interiors.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Tikkurila tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order. Note: Depending on the amount of colourant required to mix your chosen colour, there may be up to a 10% variant on the advertised paint volume.

Clean Up	Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and properly prepared before painting. Apply only when the ambient temperature is above +10°C and the relative humidity is below 80%.

Unpainted Surfaces

• Allow new concrete, screed and plaster surfaces to fully cure and harden before painting.
• Remove all dust, dirt and other contaminants to ensure good adhesion.

Previously Painted Surfaces

• Clean thoroughly to remove dirt, dust and surface contaminants.
• If required, wash with Tikkurila Seinäpesu Cleaning Agent following the manufacturer's instructions.
• Remove any loose, flaking, poorly adhered or powdery paint.
• Sand glossy painted surfaces to create a matt finish and improve adhesion.

Repairs

• Fill cracks, holes and surface imperfections so they are level with the surrounding area.
• Use a suitable filler for concrete surfaces and appropriate lime-based products for plaster substrates.
• Allow repairs to dry fully before painting.
• If necessary, spot-prime repaired areas with Muuri Fireplace Paint.

Protect all adjacent surfaces that are not being painted, including windows, natural stone, clinker brick and metal surfaces. Remove any paint splashes immediately with clean water.

Please note that variations in substrate porosity, moisture levels and application or drying conditions may result in slight colour differences across the finished surface.

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results.

• Use a brush or limebrush for best results.
• Apply 1 coat of Muuri Fireplace Paint as a primer.
• If required, the paint can be thinned with up to 10% clean water.
• Allow the primer coat to dry for at least 12 hours.
• Apply the finishing coat once the primer has fully cured.

Note: If using more than one tin of the same colour, intermix prior to use to ensure colour consistency. Check tinted product before application to avoid colour differences.

Allow the painted surface to cure for at least two weeks before use to ensure it achieves its full heat-resistant properties.

If required, clean the surface after one month using a dry brush, mop or dust cloth. As a matt finish, Muuri may show visible marks from mechanical contact, which is a normal characteristic and does not affect its performance.

For maintenance, surfaces can be repainted using the same Muuri paint.

However, due to their bespoke nature, please allow up to an additional 5 working days to accommodate any potential courier delays or delivery issues before receiving a refund or replacement.

We strongly suggest customers avoid booking tradespeople until they receive their order. Next Day Paint will not be held liable for any costs incurred due to order processing errors, delivery delays, or other issues that may result in financial loss.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
