Sandtex Trade Solvent Based Stabilising Solution - Clear - 5 Litre

A trade quality Stabilising Solution ideal for use on exterior masonry surfaces. The Sandtex solvent-based formulation deeply penetrates the surface to stabilise and treat chalky and porous areas in just one application, removing the need to recoat and saving time and labour costs. It's a colourless solution so will not affect the colour of any decorative finishes. Suitable for application to most exterior masonry walls and surfaces including rendering, roughcast, pebbledash, brickwork and exterior grade building boards.

All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from anything that may interfere with adhesion before applying Sandtex Trade SB Stabilising Solution.

• Any faults in the surface must be repaired as these may lead to moisture penetration.
• Repair minor defects with Sandtex Ready Mixed Filler.
• Remove all loose and flaking material by scraping or brushing with a stiff brush.
• All signs of organic growth must be removed by brushing with a stiff bristled brush. Kill spores with Sandtex fungicidal wash.

We always recommend testing the product on the surface to ensure compatibility. Do not apply if there is a risk of rain or if the air/surface temperature is likely to fall below 8°C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during the application or drying period.

• Sandtex Stabilising Solution is ready to use and must not be thinned or mixed with decorative materials.
• Apply a liberal coat by brush.
• Avoid overusing the product, especially on sound surfaces.

Sandtex Trade Solvent Based Stabilising Solution helps to prevent efflorescence by creating a barrier that blocks the movement of salts, thus preserving the appearance of the painted surface.

A. The solution helps to stabilize and consolidate porous surfaces such as masonry, concrete, brickwork, and stone. It penetrates deep into the substrate, binding loose or powdery materials and preventing further deterioration.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
