    Preparation

Ensure the best possible adhesion and performance by preparing the surface thoroughly.

    • The surface must be clean, dry, and free from grease, dust, rust, and all other contaminants.
    • Remove all rust using a scraper, wire brush, or treat the surface with Rustins Rust Remover for more stubborn corrosion.
    • This product should be applied only to bare metal.
    • Do not apply over previously coated or painted surfaces.

Proper preparation will ensure a clean, stable base for a durable and long-lasting finish.

    Application

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results.

    • Stir the paint well before use, ensuring no sediment remains at the bottom of the tin.
    • Apply using a bristle paint brush for best results.
    • The paint can be sprayed, but may require thinning with Xylene Thinners.
    • Apply only one light coat.
    • Applying a heavy coat or multiple coats may cause the paint to flake when exposed to heat.
    • Touch dry: approximately 15 minutes
    • Handleable: after 1 hour in good drying conditions
    • If air dried, the coating will become fully cured only after heating the painted item to 200-220°C for about 20 minutes.
    • Do not apply additional coats. The product is designed for single-coat application only.
    • Do not apply below 10°C or in high humidity.

Follow these instructions to achieve a durable, heat-resistant, long-lasting matt finish.

    Aftercare & Storage

    Maintenance

If recoating becomes necessary, the previous coat must be fully removed before applying fresh paint. This ensures proper adhesion and prevents flaking.

    Settlement

Always stir well before use to redisperse any settled material and ensure an even finish.

    Shelf Life & Storage

    • Shelf life: 2 years from the date of manufacture.
    • Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or sources of heat.
    • After use, replace the lid immediately and ensure it is tightly sealed to maintain product quality.
    • The product may still be usable after its shelf life, but always check for any signs of deterioration, such as thickening, separation, or unusual odour, before use.

Proper care and storage will help maintain optimal performance and extend the usability of the product.
