Ronseal One Coat Cupboard Paint is a new, water based paint from Ronseal, for transforming interior wood and furniture quickly and easily. The water base gives it several benefits over a solvent based paint. Firstly, it has a much faster drying time of just 1 hour touch dry, as opposed to the solvent based drying time of 4 hours. Recoat time, if needed, is also quicker at 4 hours rather than the 24 hours you have to wait with the solvent based paint. It's low odour, low VOC, easy to apply, quick and easy to clean up and it doesn't yellow over time, because of its water base. No need for a primer and it's tough, durable and water resistant. As with the solvent based version, it stands up to knocks, spills and scuffs.

• Ensure the surface is clean and free from any built up of kitchen grease and grime. For best results clean with with a degreaser such as Zinsser Professional Universal Degreaser & Stain Remover.

• Repair any damaged or chipped areas with an appropriate wood filler

• Lightly sand the surface with a 120 grit sandpaper to allow the new paint to adhere.

• Clean the surface and remove any dust with a damp cloth

• Cover hindges with masking tape

• We recommend you remove handles for best results

• Protect flooring and surrounding areas from splashing with a dust sheet


We always recommend you test a small area to ensure you are happy with adheshion and colour

• Stir the paint thoroughly

• Apply one coat, with a brush, in a vertical direction

• Allow to touch dry for 1 hour

• Check you are happy with the finished coverage and colour. If a strong colour change is need you may need apply another coat

• Always wait 4 hours between coats

Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.

Aftercare & Storage

Once your cupboards are completely dry, you can clean them as normal. The paint is water resistant and can stand up to scuffs and scraps so scrubbing will be fine.

We do our best to represent colours as accurately as possible however screens variations and different surfaces can alter this. Unfortunately in the event you do not like the colour we are unable to accept the product back if they it has been opened.

Faulty Items

If you find a fault with your product, we can offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days. We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you. Please contact us to discuss these options. If you find fault after 30 days of purchase you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly as they will be able to offer support with the product.
