Osmo One Coat Only HS Plus is a premium, satin wood stain designed for outdoor use, that provides twice as much coverage due to its high oil content. Made from natural oils, it gives exceptional protection in just one coat, while the natural grain of the wood remains visible, and offers high coverage, saving time and money! The microporous formula allows wood to breathe, reducing swelling and shrinkage while being water-repellent, UV-stable, and weatherproof. It won't crack, peel, flake, or blister. This durable outdoor wood finish is ideal for carports, cladding, fences, garden furniture, and more, and is safe for humans, animals, and plants.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Osmo tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%).

Osmo One Coat Only HSPlus is ready to use. Do not thin.

• Stir well before use
• Clean old microporous stains thoroughly
• Old paints, varnishes and lacquers must be completely removed - Always wear a dust mask while sanding
• If additional protection against blue stain, rot and insects is desired, pre-treat the wood if possible on all sides with Osmo WR Base Coat

Note: The finished surface and the product coverage are influenced by several factors, including the condition of the wood. Therefore, a trial application is always required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces.

Always test a small area of the surface to be treated to ensure you are happy with the finished results

• With Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller, apply thinly and evenly to the clean and dry wood along the wood grain and spread well.
• Allow to dry for approx. 12 hours under good ventilation.

Always follow manufacturer's instructions found on the tin

Regular Cleaning: Damp cleaning with Osmo Spray Cleaner

Occasional Maintenance: I If necessary, intensive cleaning and refreshing using Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel or Osmo Gard Clean.

Recoating: Simply re-apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible. No sanding is necessary for future applications.

Q: Can I apply Osmo One Coat Plus immediately to new or exotic woods?

Ans: For new or ingredient-rich wood species (such as tropical hardwoods), it’s best to allow approximately 12 weeks of weathering before applying Osmo One Coat Plus. This helps the wood release natural oils and improves adhesion.

Q: How will the wood’s natural colour affect the final finish?

Ans: Osmo One Coat Plus is semi-transparent, so the final colour will be influenced by the wood's original tone. It’s always recommended to carry out a trial application before full coverage.

Q: Does rough or sawn wood affect coverage?

Ans: Yes. Ripped or sawn wood surfaces are more porous and will absorb more product, resulting in lower coverage per litre. Smooth planed wood will offer the best spread rate.

Q: How long does it take to dry?

Ans: Osmo One Coat Plus dries in approximately 12 hours, depending on ventilation, temperature, and wood type.
