Leyland Trade Hardwearing Matt is extremely durable. It's best suited for painting walls, ceilings and wood in interior high traffic areas, as it can be washed repeatedly as well as being resistant to stains and moisture. Ideal for painting the kitchen or bathroom. It's touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoatable in 4 hours. One litre will cover up to 12m2. It's water based, so it's easy to clean your equipment when you've finished painting.

Make sure the surface is sound, clean, dry and grease-free.

• Remove all loose and defective paint and seal absorbent surfaces with a solution of up to 1 part water to 4 parts Hardwearing Matt.
• Prime bare timber and metal surfaces with the appropriate Leyland Primer.
• Rub down sound previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrsive paper and rinse thoroughly before applying a pre-coat of Leyland Acrylic Primer Undercoat. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Always perform a test on a small inconspicuous area to ensure compatibility, and we recommend following the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.

• Firstly, stir the paint well to ensure even coverage.
• You can apply with a brush, spray or synthetic medium pile roller. Don't overfill the tray.
• Make sure the roller is evenly loaded. If using a brush, load it generously and apply even coats liberally. Avoid overspreading.
• Under normal conditions, allow 4 hours before recoating if required. Do not apply when air or surface temperature is below 10°C.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items
