Johnstone's Revive Metallic Paint does a wonderful job of creating a rich shimmering effect on even the dullest of surfaces. You can use it on its own as an opulent top coat, or layer it with Revive Chalky Furniture Paints and sand off for a distressed look. Use Revive Finishing Wax to add more depth and burnishing, or leave it uncoated for a smooth, metallic shimmer. It works a dream on ornate mirror frames, for a vintage inspired effect. Equally, it's fabulous for reviving tired furniture by adding gold or silver accents. A versatile metallic paint for upcycling projects.

• A 375ml tin will cover up to 6 sq metres depending on the nature and porosity of the surface

Clean the surface thoroughly with a mild detergent so that it's free from grease, waxes or polish.

• Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry.
• If you're painting a smooth surface or bare wood, lightly sand with a fine waterproof abrasive paper to provide a key.
• If covering a previously painted surface, firstly remove any flaking or blistering paint. Again, rub down well with a fine waterproof abrasive paper. Be careful to avoid the inhalation of fine dust particles by wearing a suitable face mask if dry sanding.

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results

• Stir well before use
• Apply the paint evenly, using brush or roller working in the direction of the wood grain
• If you're looking for a distressed look, apply one coat of Revive Metallic effect paint, allow to dry
• Then apply a coat of Revive Chalky Furniture Paint and allow to dry
• Finally lightly sand / scour to show the layers
• It's recommended that furniture is protected with Johnstone’s Revive Finishing Waxes

Remove as much paint as possible from your brush or roller before cleaning. Wash immediately after use in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
