Unlike standard adhesives, Geocel Mirror Adhesive features a mirror-safe, non-corrosive formulation that prevents staining, discolouration and degradation of mirror coatings. For the strongest bond, ensure all surfaces are properly prepared before application.

• Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free from dust, grease, oil and other contaminants.
• Clean non-porous surfaces using a suitable solvent and a clean, lint-free cloth.
• Allow all cleaned surfaces to dry completely before applying the adhesive.
• Always ensure adequate ventilation when using cleaning solvents.
• Check mirrors for any defects before installation.

1. Cut the cartridge nozzle to the desired bead size and load into a standard sealant gun.
2. Apply 10mm wide vertical beads to the back of the mirror at approximately 100mm intervals.
3. Press the mirror firmly into position, maintaining an adhesive thickness of approximately 2mm.
4. Support the mirror with suitable tape or temporary fixings for at least 24 hours.
5. Leave the edges of the mirror exposed to allow air circulation and ensure proper curing.
6. Remove any uncured adhesive immediately using a suitable solvent cleaner.

Important Limitations

• For interior use only.
• Do not use for structural glazing or insulated glazing units.
• Not suitable for continuously submerged applications, such as swimming pools or aquariums.
• Do not apply in completely enclosed spaces, as the adhesive requires moisture from the air to cure.
• Do not use on substrates containing bitumen, natural rubber, chloroprene, EPDM, or materials that may bleed oils, plasticisers or solvents, as these can affect adhesion.
• When fixing safety-backed mirrors, check compatibility with the backing film before use. Where recommended by the mirror manufacturer, remove the protective backing film before applying the adhesive.
• Always inspect mirrors for defects before installation, as damaged mirrors should not be bonded.
• Allow adequate air circulation around the edges of the mirror during curing.
• Support the mirror securely for a minimum of 24 hours while the adhesive cures.
• This product is not intended for medical or pharmaceutical applications.

Aftercare

• Leave mirrors fully supported for a minimum of 24 hours after installation.
• Avoid disturbing or loading the mirror until the adhesive has fully cured.
• Once cured, the adhesive requires little maintenance and provides a durable, long-lasting bond.
• Clean installed mirrors using a suitable glass cleaner, taking care not to excessively saturate the adhesive joint.

Storage

• Store in the original unopened cartridge.
• Keep in a cool, dry location at room temperature.
• Protect from frost, excessive heat and direct sunlight.
• Shelf life is 12 months when stored correctly.
• Once opened, use as soon as possible for best performance.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
