Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior High Gloss - Tinted Colour Match

Water based Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Gloss is part of a paint system that has been specially formulated by Dulux to provide extended protection to exterior wood. If applied correctly it will provide up to 6 years weather protection. The fungicide will inhibit the growth of mould. The coverage is excellent and it stays cleaner for longer. A superior exterior wood paint, it can also be used on primed metal and on plastic.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Dulux tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Clean Up	Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning following manufacturer's recommendations

For best results, make sure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering material such as dirt, grease or wax. It is particularly important to ensure that new surfaces are completely dry.

• Rub down previously painted surfaces thoroughly, using ‘wet flatting’ methods where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth.
• Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
• Treat any knots in wood with an appropriate knotting solution.
• Any surface defects should be filled with the appropriate filler.
• Bare Metal - Prime with 1 coat of Dulux Trade Metal Primer
• New Joinery - This is often factory primed using a stain base coat, also known as a dual-purpose primer. These materials quickly erode when left exposed and may need to be re-primed.

Note: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin. We recommend testing a small area before painting the entire surface to ensure compatibility.

• Stir the paint thoroughly before you begin to ensure even coverage. Apply with a brush only, do not spray.
• Prime all bare wood with 2 coats of Weathershield Preservative Primer+ (BP), followed by 1 coat of the Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Undercoat, in the most appropriate colour for the job.
• Finish with 2 coats of Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Gloss. Where the colour change is strong, more coats may be needed. Allow at least 2 hours before overcoating Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Undercoat and up to 4 hours before applying a second coat of the Gloss.
• Do not thin, unless painting areas such as plastic rainwater goods, where 1 part water to 10 parts paint can be applied directly to the surface.

Store in a dry place away from extremes of temperature and frost. Keep the lid firmly closed and store and transport in a upright position.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
