Dulux Trade Metalshield Satin Paint

Quick drying Dulux Trade Metalshield Satin is specially formulated for both ferrous and non ferrous metals including railings,, lift shafts, garage doors and emergency exits. Can be overcoated in 4-6 hours. It provides lasting protection against corrosion. Applying Dulux Trade's straightforward, single-pack system: an appropriate Metalshield primer from Dulux Trade + 2 coats of Metalshield Satin will give up to 8 years metal protection.

Note: Not suitable for high traffic areas such as floors and stair treads.

For best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry. New surfaces particularly must be fully dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering material such as dirt, grease or wax.

• Prime new or bare surfaces with an appropriate Metalshield primer from Dulux Trade such as Metalshield Quick Dry Primer.
• Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, using ‘wet flatting’ methods where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth.
• Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

We recommend testing a small area before painting the entire surface to ensure compatibility.

• Apply with a brush or roller only. Do not spray, for health and safety reasons relating to solvent-based paints.
• Apply 1 coat of the appropriate Metalshield Quick Dry Primer followed by 2 coats of Metalshield Satin.
• Where a special process colour is to be used, or where a strong colour change is required, additional coats will be needed.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
