Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Dulux tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Clean Up	Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning following manufacturer's recommendations

To get the best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from defective or poorly adhering materials like grease, wax and dirt.

• New surfaces particularly must be fully dry.
• Prime new or bare surfaces with an appropriate Dulux Trade primer.
• Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, using ‘wet flatting’ methods where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
• Treat knots with an appropriate knotting solution.
• Any surface defects should be filled with the appropriate filler.

We recommend always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin. Stir thoroughly, it is recommended that a small test area is applied before painting the entire surface to ensure compatibility.

• Stir the Dulux Trade Eggshell thoroughly before use.
• Apply 2 full coats with a brush or roller only. For health and safety reasons associated with solvent based paints, do not spray.
• Where a strong colour change is required, then a coat of Dulux Trade Undercoat in an appropriate colour may be needed.

Note: Whilst leading-edge technology has been used in the development of this product, the nature of white solvent-based paints means that they will all discolour over time. The rate of discolouration is faster in areas with no or low natural or UV light. For long-lasting whiteness, we recommend the use of a water-based formulation such as Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell.

Q. What surfaces can I apply Dulux Trade Eggshell to?

A. Dulux Trade Eggshell is suitable for use on a variety of interior surfaces, including:

• Wood (doors, skirting boards, window frames, furniture, and cabinetry)
• Metal (radiators, pipes, metal doors, and furniture)
• Previously painted wood or metal surfaces

It’s particularly ideal for areas that need to withstand wear and tear, such as hallways, living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.

 

Delivery - All orders placed on a working day before 3pm will be dispatched on the same day for next working day delivery. Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. 

Delivery of Tinted Products - Tinted paints are dispatched in line with our express order process, shown below. However, due to their bespoke nature, please allow up to an additional 5 working days to accommodate any potential courier delays or delivery issues before receiving a refund or replacement.

We strongly suggest customers avoid booking tradespeople until they receive their order. Next Day Paint will not be held liable for any costs incurred due to order processing errors, delivery delays, or other issues that may result in financial loss.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
