Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Dulux tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Ensure that the area you are painting is clean, sound and dry.

• Water-borne coatings can be sensitive to rubber containing plasticisers such as flexible PVC strips. The paint film may partially dissolve due to these plasticisers and become sticky. It is advisable to replace such flexible strips with those made of EPDM rubber. We recommend that you seek the advice of the manufacturers of the strips regarding this problem.
• Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, using ‘wet flatting’ methods where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
• Treat knots with an appropriate knotting solution or primer.
• Fill any surface defects with the appropriate filler.
• When applying water-based paints to surfaces previously decorated with a conventional solvent based paint, very thorough surface preparation will be necessary.

We recommend always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin. Stir thoroughly, it is recommended that a small test area is applied before treating the entire surface to ensure compatibility.

• To get the best finish, lightly dampen both a synthetic brush and the wall prior to application to ease flow out
• Apply in temperatures exceeding 8°C.
• Dulux Trade Diamond Satinwood can be applied with a brush, roller or conventional spray. For best results use a synthetic (nylon polyester) brush or short pile roller designed for water based paints.

Q. How long does Dulux Trade Diamond Satinwood take to dry?

A. It takes 1-2 hours to be touch dry but always allow 24 hours to allow the paint to fully cure. Any use of the surface before could result in damage to the paint finish. You can recoat after 6 hours.

A. Yes, Dulux Trade Diamond Satinwood is highly washable and scuff-resistant, making it an excellent choice for surfaces that need frequent cleaning. Whether it’s doors, skirting boards, or furniture, the durable finish allows you to wipe away marks without damaging the paint.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
