Ensure that all surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry, sound, and free from frost, grease, dust, old sealants, and other contaminants that could affect adhesion.

• For non-porous surfaces, clean and degrease by wiping with a suitable solvent, such as DOWSIL™ R-40 Universal Cleaner, on a clean, oil- and lint-free cloth. Ensure the surface is thoroughly dry before proceeding with sealant application.
• For porous substrates (such as concrete, brick, or mortar), clean the surfaces by using a steel brush, sanding disc, or other mechanical means to remove any loose particles and debris.
• Ensure the substrate is suitable for bonding with the silicone sealant. It is recommended to test adhesion on a small area, especially when working with various coatings or finishes.
• Priming may be required for certain surfaces, particularly porous ones, to ensure optimal adhesion of the sealant.
• Mask areas adjacent to the joint with tape to prevent contamination of the substrates and to ensure a clean, precise sealant line.
• When using solvent-based cleaning products or working in confined spaces, always ensure proper ventilation to maintain safety.

By following these preparation steps, you will ensure that the surface is clean and ready for the application of DOWSIL™ 785 N Neutral Sanitary Silicone Sealant, promoting optimal adhesion and long-lasting performance.

The silicone sealant is ready for immediate use. Cut the tip off the cartridge and screw on the nozzle and cut the nozzle to the desired bead size. We recommend using the Geocel Cox Skeleton Gun for application. If back-up material is needed, it is recommended to use closed cell polyethylene backer rod. This will help provide back pressure and ensure proper sealant movement.

• Load the cartridge into a sealant gun. Apply DOWSIL™ 785 N Silicone Sealant into the joint in a continuous, uniform bead. Ensure the sealant completely fills the joint without leaving air pockets or gaps.
• Tool the sealant within 5 minutes of application to ensure good contact between the sealant and the substrate. Light pressure should be applied during tooling to smooth the sealant and ensure a clean, professional finish.
• If masking tape was used to protect adjacent surfaces, remove the tape immediately after tooling the sealant to ensure a crisp, neat line for best results we recommend using Bedec Silicone Profilers.
• Allow the sealant to cure for at least 24 hours in normal conditions. Full cure may take up to 7 days, depending on humidity and temperature. Ensure the area remains dry and undisturbed during curing.
• Excess uncured sealant can be cleaned off tools and non-porous surfaces using a suitable solvent like DOWSIL™ R-40 Universal Cleaner. Once cured, the sealant must be mechanically removed.

• AM Delivery: Get your order by 2pm
  If placed on a working day before 3pm, the AM Delivery will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday AM (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day for delivery on the following AM. All orders have a charge of £12.99 for AM delivery.

• Late Cut-Off: Get an extra hour to place your order for Next Working Day delivery.
  Orders placed on a working day before 4pm will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 4pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. All orders have a charge of £5.99 for Late Cut-Off delivery.

• Saturday Delivery: Get your order on Saturday
  Option available on Fridays. Orders placed on Friday before 3pm will be delivered on Saturday. All orders have a charge of £9.95 for Saturday delivery.

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

We always recommend getting samples or contacting us for free of charge colourcharts. We do our best to represent colours as accurately as possible however screens variations and different surfaces can alter this. Unfortunately in the event you do not like the colour we are unable to accept the product back if they it has been opened.

If you find a fault with your product, we can offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days. We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you.
