Cuprinol Garden Shades - Tinted Colour Match

Cuprinol Garden Shades is a water-based paint specially designed to colour, protect and weatherproof garden wood. It can be used on most exterior woods, including sheds, fences, log cabins and garden furniture, and offer protection for up to 6 years. It's also ideal for smaller exterior projects as it can be applied to terracotta, brick and stone. This matt finish provide a rich, long-lasting colour while allowing the natural texture of the wood grain to show through.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Cuprinol tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Clean Up	Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water

Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss.

• To clean wood give it a good brush with a stiff brush to remove any dirt, debris or loose wood
• If your wood has been effected by algae, fungi or moss this must be removed and can be cleaned with products such as Cuprinol Garden Furniture Cleaner
• Garden shades can be applied straight on top of previously stained wood after preparation. For paler colours we do recommend to either strip it back to the bare wood or use a stain blocker to ensure you can still achieve a strong colour. Use a stain stripper or primer such as Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 Plus
• Resinous wood will need a stain blocking primer such as Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 Plus
• Make sure wood has been pre treated with appropriate wood preserver to prevent decay

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results. Colours can vary dependant on surface to be treated.

• Stir the product thoroughly before and during use
• Apply 2 coats
• For brush application, brush on product evenly along the grain
• Allow 2-8 hours between coats
• Apply only in dry conditions, above 5°C and when bad weather is not forecast
• Any overspray should be cleaned up immediately (whilst still wet) with water and household detergent
• This product can be applied by brush or with Cuprinol Fence Sprayer

Final colour will depend on wood type, previous treatment and the number of coats applied

Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the packaging.

Do not store or use in extreme temperatures and protect from frost.

To maintain your treated wood, reapply a maintenance coat each year to prolong the life. Regular cleaning with a dampened cloth or brush can also prolong the life of your treated wood.

 

Delivery - All orders placed on a working day before 3pm will be dispatched on the same day for next working day delivery. Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed after 3pm on Friday, weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. 

Delivery of Tinted Products - Tinted paints are dispatched in line with our express order process, shown below. However, due to their bespoke nature, please allow up to an additional 5 working days to accommodate any potential courier delays or delivery issues before receiving a refund or replacement.

We strongly suggest customers avoid booking tradespeople until they receive their order. Next Day Paint will not be held liable for any costs incurred due to order processing errors, delivery delays, or other issues that may result in financial loss.

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
