The fast drying time of only four hours allows you to complete your creative project all in one day and the water-based formulation will not leave any lingering nasty smells in your home.

The stone effects are suitable for low-wear areas and should not be applied in wet areas or absorbent surfaces. These special effect paints are part of the Artisan range from Craig & Rose which was created to bring bold and beautiful effects to every home.

For best results with Craig and Rose Artisan Stone Effect Paints thoroughly prepare the surface.

• Remove any loose or flaking paint by sanding with an abrasive paper.
• Fill any holes or cracks with a suitable filler, for walls, we recommend Polycell Trade One Fill Filler as it is quick and easy to use.
• Seal bare or porous surfaces with Craig and Rose 1829 Vintage Colours Undercoat.
• Lightly abrade any previously painted surfaces to allow the paint effects to adhere.
• Ensure the surface is clean and free from any dust, dirt, or grease.

Always test the application method on a small area to ensure you are happy with the finished results.

• Stir the paint thoroughly, if using more than one tin combine the Artisan Effect into one container.
• The first coat can be applied with a synthetic brush or medium pile synthetic roller.
• Allow the first coat to dry for four hours.
• The final coat must be applied with a wide synthetic brush in a random brush stroke action to achieve the effect. Ensure to overlap brushed areas to achieve an even effect.
• Please be aware these paints can dry a lot lighter.

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin. Do not apply the Stone Effect paints in temperatures below 5°C and avoid exposure to steam and condensation for 48 hours.

Q. How do I get a stone look with paint?

A. The Stone Effect paint by Craig & Rose is designed to mimic the texture and look of various stone finishes, such as granite or sandstone. Craig & Rose have made an easy to apply effect that requires one coat applied by brush or roller and a final coat applied in random brush strokes. We recommend testing the effects on board first. If this technique does not get the effect you are looking for why not experiment with various techniques, such as sponging or stippling, to create the desired stone texture.

Q. Do I need to get a decorator to apply the stone effect paint?

A. No, Craig and Rose have created the Artisan range as off-the-shelf decorative paints, so everyone can achieve bold and beautiful finishes at home. These Stone Effects are perfect for injecting some striking style into your home from the walls to decorative objects.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items
