Before applying Coo-Var All Purpose Primer, proper surface preparation is essential to ensure optimal adhesion and performance:

• All surfaces: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, dust, and any other contaminants.
• Bare steel: Surfaces must be free from rust, scale, and dust.
• Blast cleaning to SA 2½ standard is strongly recommended for the best results.
• If blast cleaning is not feasible, use mechanical cleaning methods. Note that hand cleaning is insufficient and does not meet the required standard.
• Remove all oil and grease using Coo-Var Degreaser before de-rusting.
• If blasting is done after assembly, pay special attention to edges, corners, welds, bolts, and nuts.
• Welds should be ground smooth where necessary, and all slag, weld spatter, and residues must be fully removed.
• New wood: Lightly sand the surface to create a suitable key for the primer to adhere effectively.

Mix thoroughly before use to ensure an even consistency. Ensure all surfaces are fully prepared as outlined in the surface preparation instructions.

• Do not apply when the temperature is at or below 7°C during application or drying.
• Apply under conditions that follow good painting practice.
• The ambient temperature must be above the dew point to prevent moisture-related contamination during application.
• In confined or enclosed spaces, ensure adequate ventilation is provided throughout both the application and drying processes.
• Use a brush or roller for even coverage depending on the surface and project scale.
• Apply in thin, even coats for best adhesion and finish.
• Allow to dry for at least 1.5 hours (touch dry) and 4 hours (hard dry) before handling.
• Overcoating after 6 hours.

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
