Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Caparol tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Substrate preparation and coating system (interior)

Wood and wood-based materials:

• Sand and clean the surface and prime with Capacryl Holz-IsoGrund¹ or Capacryl Haftprimer.

Iron and steel:

• Remove rust and clean thoroughly and prime with Capalac AllGrund or Capalac Aqua Multiprimer.

Zinc (BFS No. 5):

• Prime with Capacryl Haftprimer.

Aluminium and copper (BFS No. 6):

• Prime with Capacryl Haftprimer.

Rigid PVC (BFS No. 22):

• Prime with Capacryl Haftprimer.

Load-bearing existing coatings²:

• Sand the surface and prime with Capacryl Haftprimer.

Notes

1. Always use Capacryl Holz-IsoGrund on woods containing water-soluble or discolouring ingredients. Coat knots twice.
2. Damaged areas of existing coatings must be pre-treated according to the underlying substrate.

For best results always follow the manufacturers instructions. Always stir thoroughly before use.

• Capacryl CapaFlow can be applied by brush, roller or spray.

Brush and roller application

For manual application on larger surfaces:

• Apply the paint evenly using a short-pile (textured) polyamide/nylon roller.
• Immediately finish the surface with a fine-pore foam roller or a brush to achieve a smooth, even finish.
• Recommended rollers (or equivalent): MPlus TopFilt 2.0, MPlus foam radiator roller, Storch AquaSTAR Micro, Storch UniSTAR Softform.
• Recommended brushes (or equivalent): Pointed brushes such as Mesko M3 Aqua (size 12 or 14), flat brushes such as MPlus Aqua (Konex), and Storch AquaSTAR Soft brushes.
• Select tool sizes to suit the surface area so the paint can be applied quickly and finished evenly.

Spray application

Airless spraying:

• Use a nozzle size of 0.008–0.010 inch with a spray pressure of 180–200 bar.

High-pressure spraying:

• Use a 1.8 mm nozzle, with a maximum air pressure of 3 bar.
• Dilute the product with up to 10% water if required.

Note: An additional coating may be required for low-opacity colours (e.g. from the yellow/red range).

Important: For powder coatings, coil coatings and other critical substrates, always carry out test areas and check adhesion before full application.

Store in a cool place and keep container tightly closed.

Delivery - All orders placed on a working day before 3pm will be dispatched on the same day for next working day delivery. Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed after 3pm on Friday, weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. 

Delivery of Tinted Products - Tinted paints are dispatched in line with our express order process, shown below. However, due to their bespoke nature, please allow up to an additional 5 working days to accommodate any potential courier delays or delivery issues before receiving a refund or replacement.

We strongly suggest customers avoid booking tradespeople until they receive their order. Next Day Paint will not be held liable for any costs incurred due to order processing errors, delivery delays, or other issues that may result in financial loss.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
