The Brush Mate Trade 20 stores wet paint brushes used with oil based paints and varnishes, keeping them moist and pliable and ready for re-use without the need for washing them. The casing is a steel body with tightly fitting metal lid. Includes a 250ml bottle of fluid. The vapour produced from this fluid stops paint brushes hardening, so they're good to go whenever you need to use them again. Made in the UK

• Insert the wick into the bottle of Brush Mate Fluid ensuring it reaches the bottom of the bottle. The wick must always remain immersed in the Brush Mate Fluid.

• Replace the lid and ensure that it is is kept on at all times. Only remove when putting in or taking our brushes.

• When first activated, leave for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, before storing your brushes.

• After using a paint brush, suspend it on a hook inside the Trade 20. You can adjust the brush clips to create space between brushes. Use larger clips for fatter handles.

•Always follow instructions on the manufacturers packaging.

• Wherever possible, store your Trade 20 in a cool, draught free place.

Aftercare & Storage

• Give your Trade 20 an annual spring clean by replacing the vaporising panel and drip mat. These can be purchased as part of the Brush Mate Service Pack for Trade 20. As a reminder of when you last serviced your pack, write the date on a sticker on the side of the box.


All orders placed on a working day before 3pm will be dispatched on the same day for next working day delivery. Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day.

Return postage will be at your own cost. We always advise you send parcels with a tracked service as we cannot be held responsible for any loses/damages in transit. We recommend using a courier site such as Parcel Monkey. Once goods are received they will be checked and processed within 3-5 days and you will receive a notification of refund.

We always recommend getting samples or contacting us for free of charge colourcharts. We do our best to represent colours as accurately as possible however screens variations and different surfaces can alter this. Unfortunately in the event you do not like the colour we are unable to accept the product back if they it has been opened.

We will be happy to organise an exchange for the correct goods at no extra charge to yourself, please call us to organise this.

Faulty Items

If you find a fault with your product, we can offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days. We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you. Please contact us to discuss these options. If you find fault after 30 days of purchase you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly as they will be able to offer support with the product.
