Bedec Interior-Flex Matt Paint

Bedec Interior-Flex Matt Paint is a high-performance elastomeric, microporous emulsion paint specially formulated for interior ceilings and walls that are prone to cracking. Available in classic Brilliant White and Magnolia shades, Interior-Flex is designed to bridge hairline cracks and flex with the substrate, ensuring a smooth and durable finish even where movement occurs. With its smooth low-sheen finish and Class 1 Wet Scrub Rating, it offers both style and strength for long-lasting results.

To achieve the best results with Bedec Interior-Flex, ensure all surfaces are correctly prepared before application.

• Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, dirt, and wax.
• Remove any loose, flaking, or defective paint before painting.
• Treat and eliminate algal or fungal growth using an appropriate fungicidal wash.
• On untreated render, plaster, brickwork, or other porous surfaces, dilute the first coat with 30-40% clean water.
• If there is a risk of staining or extractive discolouration, apply Bedec Stain Block. Always test on a small area first to check for potential staining.
• For larger cracks, cut out and fill using a flexible interior filler such as Geocel Painters Mate Flexible Acrylic Filler or Toupret Fill-Flex Filler.
• For hairline cracks, apply Interior-Flex directly into the crack and feather the edges for a smooth finish. One or two additional coats may be needed to fully bridge the crack.
• After crack repairs are complete, apply one or two full coats of Interior-Flex across the entire surface for a uniform, durable finish.

Prepare surfaces thoroughly and always test on a small inconspicuous area to ensure compatibility before full application.

• Apply using a brush, roller, conventional HVLP, or airless spray system.
• Stir well before use and confirm colour consistency.
• Do not apply when air or surface temperatures are below 10°C.
• On previously sealed surfaces, apply 1-2 coats, allowing each coat to dry fully before recoating.
• Avoid over-spreading the paint during application.

Spray Application:

• Coverage may vary depending on the spray equipment used; airless systems typically achieve approximately 4-6 m² per litre per coat.
• Recommended setup: 13-15 thou tip at a 50-70° spray angle with pump pressure around 2500 PSI.
• Produces an approximate wet film thickness (WFT) of 205 microns per coat, giving a dry film thickness (DFT) of around 78 microns per coat.

After use, clean the rim and replace the lid securely. Protect the product from low temperatures (minimum 5°C). To prevent spills, always store and transport in a secure, upright position. Do not store by hanging on a hook.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
