Overview
Barrettine Woodworm Treatment is suitable for both interior and exterior use, for the traditional and deep penetrating treatment of woodworm. It is an oil / spirit based treatment that's low in odour. Use it on furniture, structural timbers, wooden floors. This is a highly effective woodworm killer that both prevents and exterminates wood boring insects. Use Barrettine Woodworm Treatment to prevent and remove all common woodworm including Common Woodworm, Powder Post Beetle, Wood Boring Weevils, House Longhorn Beetle and Furniture Beetle. It eradicates both the woodworm larvae and eggs when in direct contact.

Preparation
Make sure that areas to be treated with Barrettine Woodworm Treatment sare clean, dry and free from varnish, paint etc. Remove as necessary. If the wood has been badly attacked, the affected area should be cut out and burnt, and structural repairs carried out.
Application
Note: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
Use appropriate PPE i.e face mask (A1 or A2 Class filter), gloves and coveralls, particularly when used in a confined space.
Apply by brush or low pressure spray ensure all holes and surfaces are saturated. Allow to dry approx 6 hours before applying a second treatment. For treating roof and floor joists, other structural timbers and wooden furniture.
If treating furniture in an occupied room, treat the article in a well ventilated place ideally outdoors, allow to dry and ventilate thoroughly prior to placing the article back to its original location. Ensure treated surfaces are thoroughly dry before overpainting. End grain should be treated to saturation.
To check that Barrettine Woodworm Killer has no effect on colour or finish on sensitive areas, test on an inconspicuous area. Avoid contact with Bituminous products including roofing felts.
Application rate: Prevention - 1 litre to 5 sq metres Eradication - 1 litre to 3.3 sq metres
Ventilate the area after application.
