Make sure that the surface to be oiled is clean & dry and free from grease. Can only be applied to bare wood or previously oiled wood, not to painted or varnished surfaces.
Test a small area first in an inconspicuous place to make sure you're happy with the finished results. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
- Apply the oil generously with a lint free cloth or brush.
- Allow it to absorb for 20 minutes, then remove excess oil and allow 24 hours between each coat.
- Apply a minimum of 3 coats or more until you achieve the desired finish.
- As this is a natural product, it is slow drying. Allow 6-7 days to cure under normal drying conditions after the last coat.
- Raw Linseed Oil can be diluted for the first application 1:1 with white spirit to improve absorption. Regular re-oiling will be necessary for some applications.
Replace cap firmly. Store away from heat and flames. Keep container upright and secure at all times.
