Tikkurila Vinyl Matt is a full matt water-based high-performance emulsion paint, providing an excellent finish for interior walls. Formulated to be scrub resistant, this vinyl matt is easy to apply and leaves a cleanable and wipable long-lasting finish making it perfect for walls and ceilings in living rooms, bedrooms and children's room. Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Tikkurila tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order. Note: Depending on the amount of colourant required to mix your chosen colour, there may be up to a 10% variant on the advertised paint volume.

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt and grease.

• Unpainted surfaces: Remove loose, flaking paint or lacquer with a scraper and sand the whole surface. Repair any cracks or holes with appropriate filler. Remove sanding dust before starting painting. It is recommended to prime the surface with a suitable primer like Tikkurila Optiva Primer.

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results

• Stir thoroughly before use to ensure the paint is completely mixed.
• Before application, thin if necessary, up to 5% with water, in sufficient amount of paint from one production batch to avoid possible colour difference.
• Apply 1 or 2 coats of Vinyl Matt by brush, roller or sprayer.

Q.Is Tikkurila Vinyl Matt suitable for high-traffic areas like hallways?

Ans.While Tikkurila Vinyl Matt can be used in various areas like (walls and ceilings in living rooms, bedrooms and children’s rooms, as well as other similar dry spaces), it may not be the most durable choice for high-traffic spaces. Consider Optiva Matt 5 for higher durability.

Q.Can I use Tikkurila Vinyl Matt in damp or humid areas like bathrooms?.

Ans.Tikkurila Vinyl Matt is not recommended for damp areas. For such spaces, consider using a paint specifically designed for humidity resistance.

Q.How many coats of Tikkurila Vinyl Matt are typically required for coverage?

Ans.Coverage may vary depending on the surface and color, but one or two coats of Tikkurila Vinyl Matt are usually sufficient.Theoretical coverage 8-10 m2/l. Practical coverage depends on the application method, conditions, shape and roughness of the surface to be treated.

How do I prepare a previously painted surface before applying Tikkurila Vinyl Matt?

Ans.Prepare the previously painted surface for Tikkurila Vinyl Matt by cleaning, sanding until it loses gloss, and filling cracks. For significant color changes, use Optiva Primer. Thinning with water (up to 5%) is possible. Apply 1-2 coats with a roller, brush, or spray.
