Tikkurila Patio Paving Stain is a water-based concrete stain designed to revitalise tired paving slabs and concrete stones with long-lasting, natural-looking colour.

Suitable for both coloured and uncoloured absorbent concrete paving, it penetrates deeply into the surface rather than forming a film, helping to maintain the texture and appearance of the substrate.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Tikkurila tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order. Note: Depending on the amount of colourant required to mix your chosen colour, there may be up to a 10% variant on the advertised paint volume.

Clean Up	Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water

Ensure the surfaces is dry and properly prepared before painting. The ambient temperature should be at least +5 °C and the relative humidity of air below 80%.

Clean surfaces from dirt, dust, moss and lichen. Wash surfaces with a pressure washer and use Tikkurila Tehopesu Power Clean according to instructions, if needed. If the pavings stones or slabs are relatively new, use turbo nozzle or at least sufficient pressure to ensure absorption capacity of the surface.

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results. This will help to find out the most suitable colour, application method, amount of thinner and number of coats for the paving stones to be treated.

• Stir thoroughly before and during use. Thin up to 50 % (2 parts of stain, 1 part of water)
• Apply by brush, roler or knapsack spray. When using a knapsack spray, finish with a roler or brush, when necessary, to ensure that the product penetrates into the substrate pores. Apply evenly and without interruption to avoid overlapping. Avoid applying as thick layers as with paint.

Undyed (Concrete Grey) Paving Stones & Slabs

• Select the desired shade from the Patio Paving Stain colour range.
• Apply 1–2 coats depending on the substrate's absorbency and the depth of colour required.
• If applying multiple coats, thinning the first coat is recommended to improve penetration.
• Two coats are recommended for the best finish and colour intensity.

Industrially Dyed Paving Stones & Slabs

• Choose a stain colour that closely matches the existing paving.
• Apply 1–2 coats depending on absorbency and the desired appearance.
• In most cases, one coat is sufficient.

Important Notes

• Paving is exposed to constant weathering and mechanical wear, so maintenance treatments may be required annually.
• Use enough stain from the same batch to complete a uniform area and minimise colour variation.
• The translucent nature of the product enhances existing colours and is not intended to completely change the colour of previously dyed paving.
• Paving stones and slabs of different ages may absorb the stain differently, resulting in colour variations.
• Surface contaminants such as oil stains, salt efflorescence and other impurities may affect the final colour and appearance.

Protect from frost and use any opened product within the same painting season, as prolonged storage after opening may affect its performance and application properties.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
