Tikkurila Luja Ceramic Tiles is a durable water-based semi-matt tile paint designed to transform kitchen and bathroom tiles quickly and easily.

This innovative 2-in-1 solution combines primer and topcoat in a single product, eliminating the need for separate priming and reducing renovation time and costs.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Tikkurila tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order. Note: Depending on the amount of colourant required to mix your chosen colour, there may be up to a 10% variant on the advertised paint volume.

Clean Up	Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and properly prepared before painting. Apply only when the ambient temperature is above +5°C and the relative humidity is below 80%.

• Clean the surface from limescale using a limescale removing agent such as Tikkurila Supi Saunapesu.
• Remove grease, oil or dirt using suitable cleaning agent such as Tikkurila Maalipesu.
• Remove old silicone with a sharp knife. Remove any silicone residue from the surface, using a silicone removing agent.
• Carefully rinse surface with plenty of water to remove any detergent residue. Allow to dry. The tile joints must be dry before painting.
• No primer is needed before applying Luja Ceramic Tile Paint.

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results.

The surfaces must be completely clean and dry before painting.

• Stir thoroughly before use.
• Apply using a felt roller for smooth surfaces or brush.
• Use the brush to paint corners, tile joints and places you can't reach with a roller in a thin layer
• Apply the paint to all surface with felt roller in a thin layer, make sure that you don’t apply too much paint as this can cause paint sagging on the surface.
• Leave to dry for at least 16 hours between coats.
• Once dry, apply the 2nd coat folloing the same instructions.
• Remove the tapes immediately after final layer application.
• Reapply silicone if needed.

  Note: If using more than one tin of the same colour, intermix prior to use to ensure colour consistency. Check tinted product before application to avoid colour differences.

Allow the painted surface to cure for approximately 1 month to achieve full hardness and durability. During this period, handle with care and, if cleaning is necessary, use only a soft brush or damp cloth.

After one month, surfaces can be cleaned with a soft sponge or cloth and a neutral pH (6–8) detergent solution. For heavier soiling, use a mild alkaline cleaner (pH 8–10), then rinse thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads and rough sponges, and do not allow water to remain on horizontal surfaces.

Freshly painted surfaces may temporarily soften when exposed to water but will return to their normal hardness after around 30 minutes of drying.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
